* Amazon Releases First Invite-Only Deals for Black Friday
Among the first group are Kids' Bluetooth headphones for $10, SodaStream E-Terra bundles for $126, Blink outdoor 2-camera systems for $63, Harry Potter hardcover boxed sets for half price and Citizen and Bulova watches at deep discounts.
* Google Announces Upcoming Black Friday Deals
Among the deals are $200 off the Pixel 8 Pro, $150 off the Pixel 8, $125 off the Pixel 7a, $60 off the Nest Cam, $12 off Chromecast with Google TV, $80 off the Pixel Watch, $50 off the Nest Hub smart display and $40 off the Pixel Buds A-Series. View all the upcoming Google deals here.
* Celebrate Alexa's Birthday with Black Friday-Level Deals
You'll also find deals on Ring and Blink home security devices as well as Amazon's smart home devices. Based on past years we don't expect these deals to be beat during Amazon's Black Friday sale so if there is something you are looking for, we'd suggest getting it now versus waiting.
* Nintendo Reveals Upcoming Black Friday Deals
Nintendo also has a Super Mario Party bundle which includes the game along with a pair of red and blue Joy-Con controllers for $99.99 (a $40 savings). This deal is coming to participating retailers on November 10th.
There are a selection of first-party Switch games on sale for up to $30 off including Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario Strikers: Battle League and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. These start on the 19th.
* Amazon Announces an Expanded Black Friday Sale
Amazon says they'll have new deals as often as every 5 minutes during select periods during the sale and they'll also unveil new deals during the first ever Black Friday NFL game which will be carried on Prime Video. Amazon has previewed dozens of the upcoming deals in today's announcement which you can check out here.
* Disney100 Retro Reimagined Collection Drops on Target.com
The collection contains toys (including exclusive Funko POP! figures), holiday items such as snow globes, tree skirts, ornaments and stockings, apparel including pajamas, socks, slippers and sweatshirts & drinkware including mugs and tumblers.
* Kohl's Black Friday Early Access Sale Starts This Friday
The sale will take place from November 3rd through the 9th, however the sooner you shop, the better the deals will be. On the first day of the sale, November 3rd only, you'll earn $15 in Kohl's Cash with every $50 spent. There are also special 3-day deals from Friday to Sunday only.
We also expect the full Kohl's Black Friday ad to be released when this sale starts late Thursday night. We'll post it here on the site when it does as well as all the best deals from this early access sale. Be sure to sign up for our alerts so you don't miss out on any of the deals.
* Walmart Finally Reveals Black Friday Plans for This Year
The first event (ad scan here) will start online on Wednesday, November 8th at 3pm EST (12pm EST for Walmart+ members) and in stores on Friday, November 10th. The second event starts online on Wednesday, November 22nd at 3pm EST (12pm EST for Walmart+ members) and in stores on Black Friday, November 24th.
You can check out a preview of the deals in the first sale here, although Walmart says more deals will be previewed on Monday, November 6th. Walmart+ members will get 3 hours of early access to each sale and Walmart is offering a year of Walmart+ for half off - $49 for a year- starting today.
* Oprah's Favorite Things for 2023 Curated on Amazon
Most of the items on the Oprah's Favorite Things list qualify for free shipping with Amazon Prime. Don't have Prime? Get a free 30-day trial (very useful with Amazon's Black Friday sale coming soon), otherwise get free shipping on most orders of $35 or more.
* Sign up for Walmart+ for Possible Black Friday Early Access
A month of Walmart+ costs $12.95 and you can cancel after Black Friday. When signing up be sure to choose the paid membership and not any free trial offered. As a bonus, by signing up today your first month will also cover any early access offered for Walmart's Cyber Monday sale. It's easy to then cancel should you not want to keep the subscription.
* JCPenney Announces Black Friday Plans & Ad Release Date
On Wednesday, November 1st JCPenney will reveal their full Black Friday ad to JCPenney Rewards members. We'll have it here on the site shortly after. Then from Friday, November 3rd through Sunday the 5th there will be a Black Friday Early Access sale.
JCPenney will open at 5am on Black Friday this year and will have bonus savings and giveaways at 5am, 9am, 1pm and 5pm including one free diamond item per store and a $500 off $500 coupon available to a lucky winner. See the press release for full details.
* Sam's Club "Savings Season" Schedule Released
Thanksgiving Day (November 23rd) starts their popular annual Black Friday "Thanks-Savings" Sale which will take place through the Sunday the 26th, followed by a 2-day Cyber Monday sale on the 27th and 28th of November.
November 29th through December 26th will see another Instant Savings sale. There will be a 3-day "December Doorbusters" sale on December 1st through the 3rd. Expect the Sam's Club holiday catalog to be posted here on the site in the next day.
* Macy's Announces Black Friday Sale Dates
Macy's full Black Friday sale will begin on Sunday, November 19th and will run for a full week. Macy's stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day once again this year. We expect to have the actual Macy's Black Friday ad posted here on the site in the next week or so. Sign up for our alert mailing list so you won't miss any ads this year.
* Walmart & Kohl’s Talk Holiday Plans, but Not Much Black Friday
Walmart's press release focused on their claim that they have saved their customers "more than $1 billion on seasonal baskets and Rollbacks, from Thanksgiving to Easter to the back-to-school season." Walmart says they will also fight inflation with reduced prices on Thanksgiving meal essentials.
Kohl's talked about their exclusive offerings including Sephora at Kohl's and the main exclusive toys they'll be carrying this year along with an expanded assortment of home decor. The press release does mention that the Black Friday Early Access event returns in early November and we're predicting Friday, November 3rd for this one-day sale.
* Best Buy Black Friday & Cyber Monday Plans Announced
Best Buy will then have early Black Friday deals for everyone starting on Monday, October 30th. This sale will contain a selection of deals from their sale. Their full Black Friday sale runs from Friday, November 17th through the 25th with their Cyber Monday sale starting the following day on Sunday, November 26th.

* Sam's Club Reveals Gift Guide & Membership Discounts
Through October 15th, Sam's Club is offering huge discounts on memberships. Get a year of their standard Club membership for $15 (normally $50) or get a year of their very valuable Plus membership for $55 (normally $110). Valid for new members or those who were members more than 6 months ago.
* Amazon Opens New "Holiday Shop" Gift Gude Hub
There are also guides based on price or recipient and guides that only contain items that are currently on sale. There are sections for holiday decor, entertaining, apparel, gift wrapping and more holiday themed guides along with Amazon's Top 100-ish Gifts list.
* Kohl's Announces 3-Day Deal Dash Sale for Next Week
Kohl's says the sale will include thousands of deals on toys, apparel, home and more. In addition to a 15% off coupon, there will be a stackable $10 off $50 coupon, $10 in Kohl's Cash with every $50 spent and free shipping on all orders with no minimum purchase.
Kohl's Rewards members will also be able to stack $10 off $50 in home and $10 off $50 in toys and novelty gifts in addition to the other discounts, which could lead to some pretty nice deals during the sale.
* Sam's Club Previews Super Savings & Daily Flash Savings
Also, Sam's Club will be starting Daily Flash Savings on Friday. Every day you'll be able to find online-only offers starting at midnight ET. Plus members will get 2 hours of early access to these deals starting at 10pm ET the night before.
* Target Unveils Bullseye's Top Toys List with Affordable Options
Target says this is their most affordable Top Toys List and that initiative expands beyond the list with thousands of trendy toys and games available for under $25 this year. Target also has a Disney100 Retro Reimagined collection to check out.
* Macy's and Toys R Us Unveil Geoffrey's Hot Toy List for 2023
The list features toys from popular brands such as Hot Wheels, Barbie, Marvel, Sharper Image and more. Macy's and Toys R Us continue their partnership this year and you should continue to see Toys R Us branded toy areas in all Macy's stores.
* Amazon Unveils New Products & Updates to Existing Products
Among these new devices is the all-new Echo Show 8 with edge-to-edge glass, a built-in smart home hub and improved audio with spatial audio. The new Echo Hub is a smart home control panel with an 8" display that works with over 140,000 connected devices. The new generation Fire TV Stick Max features WiFi 6E and a new Ambient Experience to turn your TV into a smart display with over 2,000 pieces of artwork.

* Best Buy Gives Sneak Peek of October Holiday Sales
Best Buy states that Plus and Total members will also get early access to Best Buy's Black Friday deals from October 27th through the 29th, which likely means Best Buy will open up Black Friday deals to non-members on October 30th this year.
Best Buy will also have a 2-day flash sale on October 10th and 11th to compete with Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days. Also look for special Microsoft, Samsung and gaming sales taking place during October. Get the details in Best Buy's announcement.
* Walmart Announces Holiday Kickoff Sale to Compete with Amazon
Walmart has given a sneak peek of some of the deals that will be available including the Apple Watch SE 1st Gen for $149, the Sony 75" X90K 4K TV for $998, the Mega Barbie The Movie Dreamhouse for $139 and Crocs Crocband Clogs for $29.99.
* Amazon Releases 2023 "Toys We Love" Top Toy List
This year's list represents the "most innovative and delightful offerings" from top brands such as Disney, LEGO, Mattel, Crayola, Squishmallows and more. Nearly all of the toys on the list can be ordered now, many at sale prices, on Amazon.com.
* Amazon Announces Prime Big Deal Days Sale Dates
Amazon says you'll find deals on Dyson, Sony, Barbie, Shark Ninja, iRobot, LG, Peloton and many more top brands. As they did during Prime Day, they have some invite-only deals you can request access to.
* Best Buy's New Memberships are Live with Exclusive Deals
Best Buy already has Plus and Total member exclusive deals that are live including buy 2, get 1 free on Nintendo Switch games including preorders, 15% off video game gift cards and many deals on tech, home and more from brands such as Apple LG and Samsung. We expect Best Buy to really push these memberships as Black Friday gets closer.
* Best Buy Unveils New My Best Buy Memberships
The new My Best Buy Plus membership costs $49.99 per year and gets you early access to sales, exclusive deals, free 2-day shipping and an extended return period. Finally, the My Best Buy Total is $179.99 per year and is a renamed version of their existing TotalTech membership.
