    I'm a toddler/preschool teacher so these get used alot everyday. Needs supervision for toddlers because one end of the tube is open so they can pull the string lights out. Wasn't a big deal, I just shoved the wire string back in the tube. However it would have been dangerous if I was not there or didn't catch it. If you hook the two ends together it’s much better because they can’t pop them apart, it takes some strength. My kids also still put them in their mouth, these are durable enough that with some redirection and popping the sides back out they still work but not ideal for the younger age group.

    I ordered this for a birthday party for a severely autistic individual. He is hard to buy for and doesn't use toys on his own much, he usually needs someone to guide him. He enjoys these sticks on his own and will carry one around all day, adjusting them and looking at the lights. He hasn't messed with the lights on the inside or torn the tube up so far. I do watch him with them though, for safety. The only destruction I've seen so far is that when you stretch them out/fold them up a lot, the plastic will eventually show a bit of wear. There is an on/off switch that is quite small and not really noticeable to someone who is not looking for it. You can make the stick a ring and place it on your head (fit for kids).
    They were a hit at the party with everyone since they are eye-catching and fun.
    The glow sticks are the unfolding/crinkling plastic fidget toys that are often used as reinforcement in school, with the added fun of lights inside. Each color of tube has corresponding colored lights inside, so they look great. They are lightweight plastic and will wear out eventually. Very fun purchase and I will order again!

These are just as fun, durable, and are easy to pack away in a suitcase or backpack when traveling.
