    My nieces love playing with these dolls. The magnet strength is good, the items stay on the doll when it's being moved around, but it's not so strong that the 3 year old couldn't easily remove things. It has a lot of clothes/accessory options, which comes in handy with two small children, otherwise these two would argue about who gets to "wear" what. It comes in a nice wooden tray, there's no real lid for it, just a thin plastic piece that sits over the center section. I would have liked to have a lid that latches in some way to make it easy to store, but overall it's a great toy that keeps the kids entertained for hours.

    The dolls are so cute and there is a lot of magnetic clothing. More than I expected. This was a gift for a little girl and when she opened it, she immediately started playing with them. My only complaint is that there is not a lid to keep all the pieces in place. What a small thing but it would make a huge difference when storing. I made a lid because I knew if I didn’t, the pieces would spill out and get lost. This is a quality product but to not have a lid, took it down a notch.

    We purchased this set as well as two other Melissa and Doug dress up doll set for our daughter for Christmas. They are all absolutely wonderful. Very well made. The type of toy that you can pass from child to child. My daughter loves to dress up all the dolls and then stand them up and play pretend (like they are all going to a ball). These dolls keep her occupied for at least an hour, absolutely amazing!

    Our one complaint with this set is some of the clothing in this set was a little to "small". There are some mini skirts and belly shirts in this set it seems and for our family that is not appropriate clothing for a 3+ year old to be learning about. However, I did voice my concern with the company directly (Melissa and Doug) and they were extremely prompt in a response and were eager to rectify my issue. I have not experienced such great customer service in a very long time! Our family will now be life long consumers of Melissa and Doug products as they had already won me over with the quality of their products and now we have the absolute cherry on top of fantastic, friendly and quick customer service!

    Also, out of all the items my daughter received for Christmas these are what she has been playing with for the past week.

    I wanted to make note that I've read some of the other reviews about wishing there was a lid to this product. Yes, that would be nice but it really hasn't been a problem for us as our daughter has been told that after you are done playing with the dolls all items must be picked up and put neatly back in the container. But a lid would be nice for transportation purposes. Especially since the container that it comes in is so nice.

Some of the shoes/accessories on this version are on the small side. So much so, I put them in a plastic bag away from her unless I am right next to her while she's playing. Last negative comment is the smell. Really was concerned about it, so would not let her play with it for quite some time. Other than than, so so cute!
