Not only does it perform just as well as its competitors (Mr. Buddy), it was significantly cheaper on clearance, AND its normal retail price. Sturdy, warm, and its more appealing color combo. That being said, I do wish you could adjust the heat, but considering what I paid for it, I don't mind anything one bit 😁

This little heater puts out 4200 BTUs.  There is only one heat setting, it is not variable.  To start it, you turn the dial part way and push down to prime/bleed it.  Then turn to ignite to switch it on. The stand as three legs to fold out and increase stability.  The base and head will screw directly together for easy storage if you don't have a can of propane in it.  The handle seems to be far enough away that it doesn't get hot to the touch.  This unit would be nice in a small fish house, for someone hunting, or heating an other small area.

Handy Little Heater

Perfect for camping, in side a garage, under a tent, chaging a tire, or just sitting outside. It works better then I expected it is not heavy but its not light. It takes a propane cylinder (sold separately) it is  convenient. Easy to put together. Heats really well. I recommend this product.

Great for all your heating needs

This Ozark Trail 4K Portable Propane Heater will make a nice addition to my "emergency" preparation items. The heater came VERY WELL packaged/protected in the box (see photo). Following the well written & clearly illustrated directions, assembly & set up was simple. Start-up was also easy and within a few minutes, the heater was putting out a good amount of heat. This heater will be a good back-up heat source during the next power outage.

A Handy, Small, Portable Heater

This Ozark Trail 4K portable/ personal heater is a heavy duty, sturdy, well made assembly however, the first clue to the quality of craftsmanship is evident in the perfect packaging and form fit interior shell. Once the heater is out of its shell the quality shows even more. From the stand that firmly holds the propane tank (not supplied) and head unit, all the way to the top of the sturdy handle and burner guard it is molded and assembles with sturdy elements. All this is known just from opening the box and removing the unit. It just gets better from there.
Assembly just requires screwing a 16oz. propane cylinder onto the head unit and then placing firmly into the round base. From there lighting is as easy as simple as turning the control knob to the pilot position (lightning bolt icon) and depressing it. CONTINUE to hold the knob down while turning the knob from pilot to off and back activating the piezo igniter. (With a new cylinder this may take a minute to bleed air from the system before pilot lights) Then sit back and in just a minute or so you will have the heater at full temperature with the ceramic burner glowing bright orange. Be sure to follow all venting and safety instructions. Although this appliance is rated for indoor or outdoor use you must have adequate and proper ventilation for combustion and ventilation air. The heater is equipped with a safety system if there is insufficient oxygen in the room, but hey- follow the directions and crack a door or window.
I found the instructions to be well written and easy to understand. When used as directed it is a great “personal” heater. It will not heat a room or large area or anything along those expectations. Great for a quick warm-up on the job, camp site, farm, lake or winter retreat, for those occasions it may just become your new best friend. Be sure to bring an extra propane tank so you won't run out on your trip. Not only do I recommend it, but it is likely you will as well once you have tried it.

Packaging Says a Lot

This small sized heater is super convenient to store and use.  I like how it easily assembles and disassembles and the fuel tanks it uses can be easily found at many local retailers. It's no hassle setup and design makes it as easy as screwing on the tank, turning a knob and having instant heat.  This portable heater is great for outdoor events.

Easy to use, compact

This Ozark Trail heater is great for outdoors.  It does kick some heat!  It connects to a propane tank so it is great for camping or even just sitting outback on a cool night.  It is stated in the manual that it can be used for emergency indoor use with proper ventilation due to carbon monoxide.  However, I personally would not recommend it.  Safety First!

Heat Kickin' Unit

Compact and easy to use. This heater is perfect for camping or at home.  I use it in the garage and it really heats up the space. It is easy to light and heats for several hours on one bottle of gas.  I have also used it in our camper and it worked great!

Great for home or camping

This heater is super durable and built sturdy! Very happy with the fantastic quality. My husband mainly uses this in his workshop to keep it warm and it works wonderfully. Comfortable handle makes it easy to move around and you can get a good grip while doing it. Puts out enough heat and is quiet, unlike many other heaters we have tried in the past. Beautiful color and very pleasant design. Comes with a very detailed, good, well written manual so anyone can feel comfortable using this. Very happy with the quality, would definitely recommend.

Well built, good quality, beautiful design

Not as portable as it looks. It's heavy but very sturdy. Does run on the little propane tanks so it's great for an outdoor heater. If used inside you'll have to be in a ventilated space to avoid exposure to carbon dioxide. Great for camping.

Portable, gas

Portable propane heater was incomplete,  base was missing.  Item is top heavy without the base and tends to tip over.
