i played this a lot when i was kid. when i saw it for switch i had to get it. my 10 year old loves it too! so glad they re-released this for switch.

blast from the past!

I rented the game on and off in 1996, early 1997 and I was still new to RPG's at the time until Final Fantasy VII released later in 1997 and when I got it that Christmas, the flood gates opened up to how I would love the genre going forward. This remake was done from love by Artepiazza and it clearly shows. There are some things changed from the original on Super Nintendo, but this serves as a great way for newcomers to the game and fans of the original. I finished the game around 15 hours with maxing all characters at 30. Tons of charm and the game is on the easy side, but the post game event could pose some challenges for some. Highly recommended for all fans of Nintendo, RPG fans, and also those who loved and miss the Squaresoft aesthetic of the mid to late 90's.

An incredible revisit to a classic from the SNES

Super Mario RPG for Switch is a faithful remake of the Super Nintendo Classic. I played the original and enjoyed it immensely. I like many was pleased to see it getting attention finally after all these years. If you are looking for a light-hearted but engaging role playing experience Super Mario RPG for Switch is right down your alley. I'd daresay encourage even die hard gamers to at least give it a look over due to the absurd quirkiness of a game it is. The Soundtrack, remade by the original composer Yoko Shimomura is fantastically well done but the game also includes an option to enjoy the SNES SPC audio in its analog glory. The game is gamer friendly for new comers. My younger family members gave this game a go on a new file and found the game surprisingly fun, surprised that there was more to Mario then just jumping around. Most of the battles are fairly easy but there are some tougher bouts late game that make the experience feel well rounded and the climax of the game is as surprisingly refreshing as I recalled the original being. The battle system itself is simple and intuitive with a few slight new bells and whistles, namely the triple attack that's introduced during the story itself. Overall, I'd rate the game itself a solid 'A-' in my book, as the flaws that exist in the remake come more from being faithful to the conventions of being true to its Super Nintendo Gaming production nature of the day then today's gaming standards. Not at all a flaw but something to note for newcomers. Highly recommended.
As a side note as well for delivery reliability.

An Adventure for All Ages

My 12-year-old loves it. He has been playing all the Mario games for like 7 years now. His favorite game is Mario Odyssey, and he rates this one in his top 5 too. Fun game! ❤️

Great Mario Game! Love!

As someone that has always loved Mario RPGs, somehow this one always slipped past me. After some attempts to play the original version, I'm glad those didn't work out so I could experience this. Phenomenal remake with an outstanding soundtrack, colorful cast of friends and foes, and a fantastic turn-based combat system. Highly recommend!

A Wonderful Remake!

This game is great and a tons of fun it's questionable weather It's really the US version because mine has Middle East and southeast Asia on the back but it works just fine so I guess there's no problem there

Great game

Excellent RPG. I played this together with my young son. We both absolutely loved it. It is simple enough to relax and have fun playing it, while not discouraging a 2nd grader. However, it is also challenging enough that it is not too easy so as to make it boring. It does require perseverance and attention to detail, which is what makes RPGs great to begin with. The game offers a unique team of characters with interesting abilities to master. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be playing this again for sure. Highly recommend. P.S. Make sure you fight the optional boss Culex. He is a worthy opponent!

Nostalgia runs deep in this Mario game. RPG style and story are great. really wish this got a sequel it deserved to have instead of paper mario but atleast those were fun too.

It literally says US physical edition in the title of the game but yet they tried to send me a imported version and scam/take advantage of me hoping I wouldn't care or know the difference in value … tryna screw over the customer so they can make some extra money … the absolute worst of a company
