Do the lights run on batteries or does the table plug in?

Item was shipped rather fast and convenient. Assembly was rather easy and quick. Though, there were some issues with the quality of the table that disappointed us. The head on one of the players was defective and broke off without any resistance. There was no intention of breaking it, nor were we playing aggressively. The piece fell quickly and we were surprised to see this happen in such an occasion. Quality control definitely needs to be improved to prevent this incident from happening again. Would like and appreciate a replacement for such part.
