This kept you warm as an understatement. I did not test it in a confined closed space. Because it's summer and it's hot. However we did test it outside on a cooler evening to see how it did. We sat around it like a campfire. It was really warm it kept it you could definitely feel the heat radiating off of it. In the pictures and on the box it talks about being used outside but I wasn't too sure how it would do cuz you know open air. But it exceeded my expectations. It was definitely warm and I could see on a cold evening or really fall evening how much it could heat up the air and keep you warm in a small outside area. And it makes sense that if it did that in an open air area how well it would do in an enclosed area. It was easy to set up and to use. There was no problems with it. I really like the ease of setting it up.

The Dyna-Glo portable propane heater has proved to be very durable and convenient. It was easy to set up. One-pound propane cylinders simply thread into the sides. I had it up and running in less than 5 minutes.

This little heater packs a powerful punch too. My first chore was to fix the ATV that was sitting in my cold garage. In 15 minutes the Dyna-Glo heater warmed up my garage nicely. My next project was cleaning a 7 x 12-foot cargo trailer. I warmed the trailer in 10 minutes. Then I washed the walls and floor thoroughly. I left the heater running and in a few hours, everything was dry.
A week later I cleaned the greenhouse. Again the Dyna-Glo heater proved its power. It warmed the greenhouse nicely in just 20 minutes.

The controls are easy to use and accurate. The heater is well built, lightweight, and has many safety features. I think it will serve me well for many years to come. 

I will get the propane extension hose next so I can connect it to a 20-pound propane tank. Although the little 1-pound canisters are more convenient and last a long time. Nice to have both options.

So many uses - Lightweight and powerful

This kept my family warm when we had a ice Storme and we were with out power for a week… 1 20lb tank last a bit over 24 hours on high for each unit.  Iused 2 to keep our 1800 square foot, home and iour basement very warm… 77° to be exact.

Great heater

My husband is thrilled with this Dyna-Glo Grab N Go XL Portable Heater (18,000) BTU Propane Recreational Radiant Heater. It heats up really quickly and efficiently (see photos). We look forward to using it on our patio this winter.

Really HOT

Great heater! Use it in my garage withe the door cracked and it kept me nice and warm. Second panel took a bit to light on the first try but its burned in now and heats great. Great buy at this price!

Great little portable heater!

I camp at dispersed campsites without hookups a lot. In the winter it gets pretty chilly in my RV. It's nice to have something to take the chill off in the morning when I first wake up. I've used different types of heaters but wanted something to hold 2 propane cylinders to warm up faster and last longer. That's why I ordered this. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this when the cold weather gets here.

18,000 BTU’s!

So it's the middle of summer in July and a perfect time to order the Dyna-Glo Grab N Go to get prepped for the fall. It came in a pretty big box. But the unit itself is lightweight and manageable, overall pretty impressive. As you can see in the photos, there's a storage compartment on each side to hold a small camping or recreational LP tank. These go for about five bucks each and are supposed to last over 18 hours (two tanks on low), although due to the time of year I can't really validate they last that long. Suffice to say, the length of time heat is generated will depend on how high it's cranked up. Once attached, the control knob has a self-starter to kick off the heat. You can then crank it all the way up or turn it on just a bit, depending on the need. I was hoping to hook this up to an external large 20 pound LP tank. But it requires an extra hose for this, which isn't included out of the box. But that's a small thing. Although this does say it's certified for emergency indoor use and should be safe, I might be a little nervous about that. If you do that, please have a carbon monoxide detector nearby.

Excellent all around portable heater

I guess time will tell if it works as good as the competitors brand.

I have only used it one time and it seems to work.

This heater is very easy to use. I screwed in the propane tank and followed the instructions and the pilot lit right away and the flame was clean and started to warm the heater right away. The heater is light for the size and has the capacity for 2 tanks. The handle on top makes it easy to move. The instruction booklet was easy to understand and to follow directions. I would definitely recommend this heater for a garage or other outdoor semi-enclosed space. It says you can use it indoors in an emergency but not a bathroom or bedroom. I would make sure the Carbon monoxide detector was working before using it in a house. I certainly wouldn't use it overnight, but the tank only lasts about 2 1/2 hours anyway. This is a good heater. The safety grate on the front extended out far enough to prevent a burn, but the grate itself could have had closer wires to prevent poking something into it close to the flame. That is my only concern. I doubt this would be used around small children anyway.

Propane Heater

I have to start off by saying this is my opinion of this portable heater that I received in late summer so I waited until we had a cool morning to start up this heater. I had to buy 2 propane tanks to attach them to both sides of this heater. You can also use a large one but you will need to buy a extension adapter to use the big single tank which I plan on doing once winter hits us. Attaching the 2 small green tanks is very easy the small head adapters tilt out to the side for easy screw on. It took a couple attempts to light probably due to being brand new and there was a slight breeze that morning. We tested this outside as you can use indoors if you must because of no power but remember this is working off propane so you should use in ventilated areas. So after a few mins of running it was getting toasty while standing around the heater for the cool temps that we had that morning so I’m sure as it’s getting into cooler weather soon it will feel even warmer. As for the weight of carrying around is actually good not heavy just maybe bulky but it’s a portable heater so it’s to be expected. Once added the 2 tanks it was fine carrying it. If you plain on bringing it camping you might want to invest in the large propane tank adapter so it last longer . I like the idea of this little heater because you can take it anywhere you want some added heat.
