This bike has all you need to start out or a new build with great potential upgrades(more advanced riding)  I lucked out and found one and not sure where they are available yet. Don't miss this! QD axles, tapered headset, 1x drivetrain, 29er by 2.4 tires. She's ready to ride!

What a deal!

As a teen who is on a very tight budget, this bike is more than I could ask for! The bike has great quality for the price. All of the parts are quality brands, such as Microshift deraleur, sr suntour adjustable fork, CST tires (which are maxxis brand!), Prowheel cranks, and many more! For the price, it is an absolute steal. I use it for trail riding, and light jumping, and is holding up fantastic.

Amazing bike for the price!

Easy enough to put together since I have experience. Arrived in perfect condition, straight wheels, strong brakes, accurate crisp shifting, no damage no problems. Bike rides smooth. Very capable. Wide bars, 11-42 cassette, short stem, great looks, good tires. I mean, "Dude!" I was completely surprised by how good this bike is. See my Kent Trouvaille videos on YouTube at "Arizona Jake"

I'm not a hardcore downhill mtn biker but I am a bike enthusiast and I have owned enough bikes to know what's junk and what's a good quality bike. This bike is definitely good quality at a good price. I love the microshift advent super short 1x9 gear set, it's really smooth. I also love the cst patrol 29” tires, the adjustable suntour xcm30 front forks, the actual metal pedals with 175mm crankset, etc It has modern mtn bike geometry with good branded parts, that's what makes a good bike instead of a cheap toy (not that there's anything wrong with that if that's what your intentionally buying) however I use this bike for commuting to work and I need it to be reliable and so far it has exceeded my expectations especially for the price. The only two things I plan to upgrade are the seat (again I don't use it for actual mtn biking so I want a comfortable seat not a mtn bike seat) and changing the breaks to hydraulic. Not that the brakes aren't good on this bike, I just prefer hydraulic brakes and I absolutely didn't expect them at this price point so those aren't complaints just a personal preference. I would fully recommend the Kent Trouvaille if someone needs a good bike and can't or won't spend close to 700 dollars which is what anything comparable stats at by companies like trek or specialized. Really glad I got it

100% happy with it, great bike all around

There is not a thing to dislike. this bike has most everything a novice to semi accomplished rider could ask for. For under 400 find anything to compare because I haven't. the closest i have found was 600 to over 1000. So get it while you can... Great job Kent this is a 10 of 10. I still can't beleave its a Kent but WOW it is.

the best bike walmart has to offer. im 6ft tall and fit comfortably on the bike. Bike is very sturdy and with the 9 gear casette rim it is good pull at top end. i havent off roaded on the bike just yet but as a commuter or short rides this bike is ideal for it. i have now owned the bike for 3months and have had no issues with it and i use it on a daily basis.

best for the price

Great bike

Make sure your chain isn't misrouted at the derailleur! If it is it there will be a grinding metal-to-metal noise and feel. It's as if you're towing a mailbox. Nothing should touch your chain but sprockets. This is not the fault of the assembler at Walmart this comes from the factory. I'm sure they will correct it at some point but as of this writing they ALL come like this.

Good base for upgrades but check your chain!

I'm middle-aged, outta shape and recently decided to get back into mountain biking on the cheap. First I got the Schwinn Taff, then Northrock xc27, then returned em both for a Trouvaille, being the best new entry level value with modern specs, upgrade potential, and med frame. The Kent had the most issues with assembly, lose bolts, over tightened hubs, chain routed wrong through the derailleur, slag metal in the seat tube that had to be chiseled out, and the rear brake caliper or frame support not machined exactly perpendicular to the rotor. That meant that I couldn't get the brake caliper aligned perfectly. The northrock had tektro mechanical disc brakes that were smooth and strong, but the Kent's brakes were total crap with little stopping power - almost worse than old rim brakes even. Due to a crazy heat wave, I haven't even taken it on real MTB trails, but just riding around the neighborhood, it's clear that it could use a brake upgrade. All the reddit reviews and YT videos were adamant about quality control and assembly issues, so check everything carefully or have a real bike shop give it a tune up before hitting the trails.

Awesome value, modern MTB specs, but with issues

I over the past two weeks I purchased two Kent Trouvaille Bikes from Walmart.com. The first bike had an issue. Both screws to hold the water bottle holder were stripped, they spun in the frame and could not be removed. It's a very nice bike and a great deal so I returned the bike and reordered the same model. The bike arrived, same issue with the water bottle holder screws except this time only one was stripped. 

I contacted Kent customer service. They said they couldn't help and to return the bike.  They did ask me to email them details. Not sure why they couldn't just take the info from my call. 

I went to my local bike shop and spent a little more money for a Trek Marlin 5
