At first I was hesitant to purchase due to some reviews, but took a chance on the good reviews. Glad I did! This is a decent lamp for the costs. It is light weight, but sturdy, Doesn't wobble, it may if you have carpet but on sold surface flooring is is very sturdy. I use it for my vanity table, but it would make an excellent lamp to read by and for computer work (it has a blue setting for this). I like the remote control feature. This is a great floor lamp especially for the price. It's not super sturdy, do not place heavy objects on the shelves but it's a perfect little accent piece in the living room or as a bedside stand/lamp as I'm using it. This little floor lamp is lovely for the price. It came well packaged and as scheduled. I love that you can use up to a 150W light bulb. There's nothing worse than having a floor light that doesn't light the area. Amazingly, it can control three color temperatures! Simply pull the chain, changing from warm white to cool white to daylight! You can't see the light difference in a photo, but it is there. Very simple to assemble; just screw the pieces together. Be sure to pull the power and white cord down through the light. The lamp is lightweight yet stable. I wouldn't want to put anything valuable or breakable on the shelves. The shelves are made of wood and well constructed. You may see little markings on the shelves, but these are only dust particles from the packing. I failed to dust the shelves before photographing. The shade is something else--it came folded in half, and I thought for sure I would need to buy another shade. (See the last photo for the base of the shade, you will need the small packaged items to assemble it). However, it looks very nice after putting it together.
