I knew this was the one the moment I saw it!!! I’m sooo in love with this yellow and gray rug. I ordered the largest size (8 x 10) and thought I’d be disappointed that it doesn’t come in a bigger size. But everyone loves the look so much that I’m going to make it work. So I just purchased the 7’ runner to lay in front of the two yellow recliners. If it just doesn’t look good, I’ll return the runner. But I’m definitely keeping this area rug. I really stepped outside the box on the pattern here, much more bold than my usual decor. But it is so well made, the pattern is so striking, and the hilow nap makes it soft on the feet. I did purchase a felt rug pad to put under it since it is being used in our living room and the pad makes it feel like a deeper pile texture. They are very pretty but the were rolled backwards. They have been laying flat with books on them for 3 days and there are still so many roll marks! They also are not great on hard wood floors. This rug has been placed in my dining room. It came well packaged. I unrolled it and turned it upside down on the tile floor to let it "relax" from being bound so tightly for shipping. After a couple of days, I flipped it over, and it flattened out just fine. It's beautiful, soft underfoot, easy to vacuum, and was well worth waiting for (I window shopped for a dining room rug for about three years!). We deliberated over this rug for quite a while but we are very happy we purchased it. We wanted an abstract gray and black rug with a pop of gold and ultimately we chose this rug for under our kitchen table. We ordered an 8x10 but would have preferred a 9x 10 (an odd size we know). The rug works very nicely with our modern decor and livens up the open floor plan space. We rated the rug a 4 for three reasons: 1) we would have preferred options for a better size, and 2) the "gold" is on the "mustard" side of the gold color spectrum and 3) the rug came rolled crooked which created lots of creases on the ends and once again, it did not come rolled on a cardboard roll making it even more difficult to get the rug to lay flat. Why don't rug companies make this a shipping requirement? Please do so to ensure customers don't have to deal with creased rugs that do not lay flat.
