I got it refurbished for $187. It's excellent for the cost, plays 4k, does upscaling to 4k (so older DVDs have a little bit of enhancement), HDR10, incredible set of features for the cost. Only thing lacking is dolby vision. Showed up like new with the remote. No fuss. Just works.

I'm not sure I like it.
The first thing I did not expect or really like is the TINY footprint. I guess you cannot tell from the photos of the unit on the Amazon site that it is tiny. I expected a traditional 17" or so wide—traditional AV product. In the photo I have attached the unit is sitting on top of my Yamaha receiver so you can compare the size. As soon as you start the unit up you are presented with an option to use "THE VOICE" to help with setup. Dummy me. I clicked Yes to that option. A super annoying 2X speed woman's voice goes off on a tangent to help you with setup. It's awful and you have to really study the manual to turn her off. That's of course after you download the REAL manual which does not come with the unit. Another annoyance—There are no useable play, stop etc. buttons on the physical unit itself. You HAVE to use the remote control. I like to put a music CD in and then push a play button on the unit. But there is no button to push on the unit. So you have to go chase down the remote. This is a pretty pricey player. I paid about $250. That's too much. I see some others on here got it for 1/2 that. Anyway, I'm not sure I like it much and will need more time to decide. Seems like other players I reviewed have their own issues, so...

Escalado perfecto en bluray tradicional a 4k, MEJORA EN IMAGEN Y AUDIO en bluray tradicional, le da ese "pop especial " para disfrutar tus bluray tradicionales a 4k. En cuanto la reproducción del formato fuente en 4k hdr... GUAUUUUUUUU!! 100% RECOMENDADO. EL HDR10 PLUS LO MEJOR QUE TE PUEDE DAR ESTE PANASONIC, AUNQUE TAMBIÉN EL HDR10 ESTÁTICO NO SE QUEDA ATRÁS. ESTE REPRODUCTOR TE LEVANTA EL HDR10 AUN EN UNA PANTALLA DE GAMA BAJA TODO POR SU OPTIMIZADOR HDR!! Por otro lado el sonido es una locura!!Néstor MartínezCalidad PREMIUM, 7 meses después falló.

Siete meses trabajando bien, pero de la nada empezó a fallar la lectura de los discos 4k (TARDABAN DEMASIADO EN LEERLOS O SIMPLEMENTE NO LOS LEÍA) Y PEOR AÚN CUANDO RECIÉN EMPEZABAS A VISUALIZAR UN BLURAY 4K, A LOS POCOS MINUTOS SE APAGABA, TAMBIÉN EN LOS BLURAY TRADICIONAL ACABABAS DE PONER EL DISCO E INTENTABAS ATRASAR LA ESCENAS SOBRE TODO Y TAMBIÉN SE APAGABA. ESTOY POR ADQUIRIRLO NUEVAMENTE, ESPERO NO ME VUELVA A FALLAR, SIENTO QUE FUE ALGUN MOVIMIENTO BRUSCO EN LA PAQUETERÍA QUE ME LO ENVÍO (LO PUDIERON HABER AVENTADO O EL PAQUETE SE LES PUDO HABER CAÍDO, O SIMPLEMENTE NO TUVE MUCHA SUERTE.) Y EMPEZO A PRESENTAR PROBLEMAS POR LAS SECUELAS.... LO ATRIBUYO A UN SENCILLO FALSO CONTACTO.
