George Foreman 4 Serving Grill

OK.  I bought this GF grill for one reason.  The removable plates.  I have had two previous versions of the grill, but they are a BEAR to clean.  I hesitated to make burgers on them because of the mess.  Now this grill has easy to remove plates, they can be put in the dishwasher and they are easy to re-install. Yay! It doesn't seem to heat up as quick as my older models, but it still cooks very quickly.  It is not really big, but two burger patties fit easily and do not stick to the non-stick coating.  Also, they eliminated the crazy flap on the underside for elevating the back of the grill to make the grease flow.  The new design is perfect for making the grease go into the receptacle in front.

Removable plates!

Are used to have the smaller George foreman grill but this one is so much better. You can fit 4 burgers easily. The best feature is having both removable grills so it makes it so much easier to clean. This is perfect for winter time when I dont Want to stand outside in the cold. The only thing I wish you did have wasnt aWant to stand outside in the cold. The only thing I wish it did have was an on /off switch

Great grill

Like so many kitchens in America, ours had the regular Foreman grill.
A friend called to say that he had just bought the new Foreman with the removable and dishwasher-friendly plates.
We followed his lead
What a difference! Larger size allows for one or two extra burgers. The plates slip in and out smoothly, and the dishwasher brings them back to ready-to-go condition.
This is a sizable and meaningful improvement, and I congratulate the designers for taking this step forward.

Grill with Removable Plates is the Best

This small electric grill with removable plates, is very useful.  I had one many years ago that did not have removable plates and I was not too fond of it for that reason.  I've used it almost daily since purchase.  It's perfect for me and actually it is good for several people because it grills foods very quickly.  It can accommodate two good size fish filets.  I have even put frozen breaded fish squares (sandwich-bun size).  I really like the removable plates and I wash them by hand.  They are so easy to wash there is no point in placing them in the dishwasher.  Also, I do not use any oils or sprays.  With some fish filets such as tilapia, I have a little butter on those along with seasoning.....grills up tasty and no sticking.  I wanted a rather small electric grill that I could keep on my counter and this Foreman grill is perfect in every way for me.  I am happy with the simplicity of it.

Great for Fish too!

The store was out of this item, so I'm glad that I could go online to have it delivered, which was on time.  For the price, it's worth it for easy draining of the meat.  It's also a better cooking gadget than the other Foreman Grills that could not remove the plates for cleaning.

I purchased this new one to replace my old 4 serving size GF. I had it for over a decade and it was great. However this one only holds two Turkey burgers but advertised it’s a “family of 4”.

Black Mold   Ammonia Smell!!!

Ordered this grill to replace an old one that finally gave up the ghost after many years of excellent service, only to receive a George Foreman Grill with a serious design flaw: as you can see from the attached picture, the bottom plate has a wide gap between it and the part of the grill which holds the heating element, which in turn has three small gaps in it.  When you open the grill while cooking, this would allow runoff of grease from the top plate to go into the area that holds the heating element, which is a fire hazard, as well as into the main plastic body of the grill and there's no way to clean that area.  Seriously, people?!  I'm sending this back and will find another option.

Serious design flaw!
