We own an upright normal Dyson and it's great, but let's face it with a two story house it's a pain in the buy to lug it up and down the stairs and plug it. We recently got a new puppy and the shedding is pretty bad. With our hardwood floors you can really see the hair. I looked online and checked reviews for both a shark stick and the Dyson. Obviously I went with the Dyson. So happy with my decision. I love that it doesn't go dead fast. It said it takes 3.5 hours to charge but it actually charged a lot faster. It makes vacuuming so easy. I can just grab it and go and vacuum my whole downstairs within minutes. It's easy to maneuver and get in the spaces I normally can't with my bigger vacuum. It's light weight. The bin holds a lot. The only thing that would make it even better is an on off switch. It's a little bit of a pain to hold the trigger button but not that big of an issue. I would recommend this to anyone.

Makes cleaning easy!

I bought this as a birthday present for myself about 3.5 months ago. I LOVE the different suction levels and how much dust and fur it picks up. I have 3 medium-long haired cats, so I do touch up vacuuming every day. It works on my short "sticky" rugs that usually attract cat hair like Velcro. I can use it on my bath rugs that are a little shaggy - I do have to lift the head up a bit so it doesn't get stuck, but it works at the right angle. I vacuum my couch, my fuzzy bedspread, kitchen throw rug (with no problems), and hardwood floors.

Sometimes it makes a high pitched whistling sound, I probably need to wash the filter. I may have filled it too much before emptying it a few times, when that happens the filter gets really warm and it smells like burning hair. I'm more careful now. I've already had to take the head apart to pull my hair and fur out of the mechanism that spins the roller - but it's not that difficult.

The battery power is pretty amazing, I'm not sure how other reviewers are experiencing a short battery life - Dyson needs to be plugged in all the time when not in use to maintain its charge. My V6 would last me through my small first floor and get me up the stairs before losing its charge. This V10 gets me through my entire house with leftover juice to do some detail vacuuming and even hit up the basement!

It's definitely louder than the V6, but only one cat is afraid of it, lol. My V6 actually still works 9 years later with some duct tape holding it together - I use that one around litter boxes =D.

As for the attachment tools, I really only use the skinny detail tool. I'll probably try the bendy one to get in some spots that I really can't get into with any other tools. I tried the fur one - it mostly just spits the fur back out in little clumps in a different spot. I have never had any success with any of the ones with brushes or the lint removing fabric. I don't understand the one with the brush above the plastic detail tool, what is that even for?! One other thing, I have NO CLUE how to install the wall attachment and there aren't any directions - I'm too lazy to look for a video. I can't even figure out how to get together like it was when it came out of the box!

Overall, I really love it, and I'm getting old if a vacuum is the best gift I've bought for myself, ha!

I Love My Dyson!

I can't believe how much dirt this vacuum picks up. The first time I used it I couldn't believe how much I picked up. The second time it was almost equal. I guess my old Dyson wasn't working well for a while. After a month I'm finally getting a normal amount. Now vacuuming is so easy I vacuum 2 times a week. Just love it.

WOW!

It's been a week, and I recently explored my Dyson cyclone v10 absolute cordless vacuum's capabilities-so far I'm not disappointed! I am amazed by the larger canister, and more power that allows me to clean for extended periods of time with 3 different power levels before returning it to the charging unit! The different accessories allow me to clean different surfaces and crevices with easy! It's no surprise why I own other Dyson products because they build awesome equipment!

Dyson cyclone v10 absolute is the best Dyson cordless vacuum!

I recently just got my own place and this was one of my “adult purchases”. I have always wanted one and heard great things about them so when they recently had a discount going on I figured to just go for it. Well... when I got this I was ecstatic. I assembled it immediately and put it down to charge thinking of all the places I could start vacuuming. My apartment has carpet in the bedrooms so I figured I would start there. Well let me tell you that I went on a transcending journey. I vacuumed at least a max of 9 square feet of my room. I discovered that this vacuum works well. But not just well. Too well. In fact, I'm pretty sure if my floor had a soul it would suck that up too. I have never felt more disgusted and impressed all at once. This vacuum is a game changer and not for the weak of heart because I promise you will be shocked with what this vacuum picks up. What a time to be alive. What a time.
