Still going strong after 2 years!
Our Mickey Mouse clock has been hanging in our kitchen for two years now. It’s a great clock and we use the timer part constantly when cooking or for anything else we need a visual timer for. We’ve only had to replace the batteries (4 AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium) four times in the two years we’ve owned the clock. 16 batteries in two years is well worth it for as much as we use the timer function of the clock. It never loses connection and after the batteries are replaced it immediately sets itself again and is ready to go. I don’t know what I’d do without a visual timer now that the one on this clock has me spoiled and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Purchased 9/20/21, as of 11/23/21 the original batteries still going strong. That's 2 months.

We all know that the second generation of this clock will have Alexa built-in, with a built-in mic and speaker, and A/C powered. Basically all that this is, is a Mickey Mouse wall clock which in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Who doesn't like Mickey Mouse? Or Mickey Mouse merchandising? Thus far, the batteries have lasted 2 weeks and going, the clock has kept the connection to the Alexa gadget, the time is accurate, and the lights are pretty. There is reflection that can make the clock face hard to see, and the Mickey Mouse clock hands being white in color, and the clock face also being white in color, makes the clock hands hard to distinguish as to where the hands are pointing. The hands or Mickey Mouse "gloves" should have been painted black. Or a bright yellow. As far as the batteries go, I plan on trying one of those A/C 4-AA cell, battery adaptors. Then, simply plugging the clock into the A/C wall outlet. If that works, that should take care of replacing the batteries all the time issue. I had planned on trying this clock, then retuning it to Amazon, however it is a very nice clock and a Mickey Mouse clock too boot, so It is worth keeping. As far as complaints about the price, most every Mickey Mouse Disney logo clocks will cost more than any basic non Disney wall clock. PS. Setup went smoothly with the Echo Dot. Both units (Echo and the clock) reestablished their connection effortlessly when or if power to either unit was interrupted.

I loved the mickey mouse image with hands pointing to the time and the fact that it syncs with Alexa. Setup was a breeze. Once you sync it with Alexa it sets up the time automatically and you don't need to do anything. The cool feature about this clock is that whenever you set up a timer with Alexa, the lights on the clock will light up to show you how much time is left. For example, if you set up a 15-minute timer, then the lights between 1 and 3 o'clock (15 minutes) will light up and the time goes down, the lights will reflect the new minute count. This goes on until the last minute where all the lights on the clock will light up and the countdown to zero will occur. These are the ONLY functions of this clock (it tells the time, syncs the time with Alexa so its accurate and you don't need to set it yourself, and it has a light display to show you timer status). If you buy this clock with this in mind, you won't be disappointed that it does not do other 'smart' functions. For me though, its awesome!

So far the clock is working just fine, and the lights work as advertised. My wife is very pleased. I'm not sure how long the batteries will last, but that is to be expected with all of those LEDs lighting up. One disappointment is tha it is very hard to tell what time it is during the daytime. The clock is hung on the wall between two windows and the hands on the clock are almost the same color as the background, so it is almost impossible to tell the time because of the light coming in the window. At night that is not a problem. So I find myself asking alexa what time it is rather than looking at the clock.

The first clock I got didn't work. Alexa had problems establishing a Bluetooth connection to it. I was able to get the connection to establish, but Alexa couldn't set up the clock at all. Deleting the device from the Alexa app and reconnecting it didn't help. I called Amazon tech support and we quickly determined that the clock was probably bad. We tried a factory reset but the hands on the clock never moved. So Amazon sent me a new one.

New one arrives 2 days later and immediately connects to Alexa and the hands start moving. Please note that there is no clock section within the Alexa app. I'm quite a bit surprised by this, but Alexa treats this as a Bluetooth device and that is where you'll find it. Just recently went through the Daylight Savings Time change and when I woke up in the morning, the clock was automatically set to the correct new time. Timer function works very well and is useful.

Overall I'm pleased with the clock and purchase. If you have any problems with one of these clocks, call Amazon's tech support for help. The Alexa app will guide you to their phone number when setting up the clock doesn't work. It's one of the choices the app will present you with.
