This is a great collection of Midway games in a Defender cabinet. I'm not a huge Mortal Kombat fan so I was really excited to see this alternate cabinet offering with the same 12 great games with the Defender cabinet art. Screen looks great and the sound is adjustable to be nice and loud if you like it. Arcade controls work perfectly! You can play Defender with arcade controls or simplified controls for easier play (thank goodness for a Defender novice like me). Tapper utilizes both sticks for moving/serving - so a nice touch that makes the controls more arcade accurate. 2 player Joust is my favorite- one of the best Williams games ever made. All games can be set with easy to hard play, and high scores are saved. The assembly was relatively easy and the instructions are very clear. Materials feel strong and durable. Cabinet graphics are bright and wonderfully nostalgic. I'm super happy with this arcade multigame. My only wish for this collection would have been if it included  Robotron since the cabinet already has 2 sticks. Seems like a missed opportunity - but I suspect Robotron will be coming in another collection. Thanks for this Arcade 1Up!

Excellent Arcade Cabinet

works good, controls are not set up like original Defender arcade game from the 80's, buy overall looks and sounds good, like a mini version of old school arcade cabinets, easy assemble, about a hour to put together with just a phillips head screwdriver

Good Old School throwback

You have to put it together but it is so worth it! Shipping was great, packaged arrived quickly considering the supply chain and not damaged. Only hiccup was there was a piece where the holes were off and I triple checked and as was the case I was able to remedy easily with a screw and drill. If you do use a drill don't use it for initial thread or final tightening. I used a rachet phillips and that did the trick. it's quality and sturdy. Games are just how I remembered!

Great mix of games!

I bought this mainly for defender and joust! They are both exactly like I remember them in the 80's, I am having a lot of fun playing the other games also. I have X box and Quest VR, but there is something very simple and nostalgic about playing these classic games. I took me about 2 hours to build the cabinet. Everything is marked very well and the instructions are great. These days a good game can cost $50 - $100, but the 12 games you get with this is a bargain.

Excellent value!

I love it! It doesn't have the red piping on the ad or the box. It's still fun to play. It takes a while to get used to the buttons and thrusting. It still reminds me of the original arcade game. The only way for Arcade 1UP to make this better is to stop playing and bring out the Stargate Defender Cabinet. Also, you can watch the Arcade 1Up assembly video on Youtube. Just leave the screws loose to adjust the parts not explained because you have a legacy cabinet.

I think this is a limited test run as this is not being sold on Arcade1up official website. If you have been waiting for an affordable Defender arcade machine - this is it. Awesome having an Arcade1up Defender skin with amazing button layout on console but - lighted marquee like all other legacy cabs have washed out colors due to improper screw placement (see pic). Also Arcade1up could have added Stargate, a much more interesting, challenging game. ATTENTION ARCADE1UP - offer a bonus free download patch of Stargate to those who purchased this? My cabinet arrived with black trim instead of the red- more in line with the original. Defender graphics on screen have been enlarged and overly pixelated. Sound is imbalanced with high treble and no base accords, something much appreciated by those who were lucky enough to play these in the arcades in the 80s like I did. However, this will provide years of trouble free play and suffice in appeasing my Defender fix since I sold my original Stargate due to constant breakdowns and costs from chips going bad, power supply issues and old wiring. Eventually you have to cut your losses. Final decision - GRAB IT BEFORE IT IS GONE!

Not the best from Arcade1up, but a good retro legacy game system. I did receive it with some fogging on the plexiglass screen overlay but Arcade1up immediately put a replacement on order for me. Love the game deck 80's look.

Where to begin. Well the only positive thing was that the package showed up 2 days early. Unfortunately it was supposed to be new and it is used because the Box is totally rotate back together like somebody had bought it and returned it and I didn't order a used game I ordered a new one. So now I have to look at everything backup to Walmart and get my money back and I'm disappointed because I don't want to have to do that I wanted to gain thanks Walmart thanks for reselling something that's supposed to be new that was obviously used and repackaged good job
