Only the stoneware is considered safe for use in the oven.

I have used the lid in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes to smother gravy on the meat I was cooking.  I wouldn&#39;t bake with it for a lengthy period of time.

Great set, Love it! So my irritating boyfriend dropped and shattered the lid on a CorningWare dish I've had forever. I tried looking for a replacement lid, however, I found out that I could get this brand-new set for less than one replacement glass lid. So at my boyfriend's expense, I ordered myself this new set and made him pay for it! Yay Me! I love it. It's sturdy and comes with both glass and plastic lids for each dish. The quality is the exact same perfection as my older set. It all worked out for me! Highly recommend!

Don't think, just buy! Worth every penny.

After all these years of seeing Corning wear at my mum's and older sister's house, I finally see what the fuss is all about. Now, I'm not the type who likes to be in the kitchen, but these dishes made my life so much easier this thanksgiving. I was able to serve and then store the leftovers in them. Bonus! Wish I had another glass lid for the smallest dish in the set, but apart from that, the dishes are amazingly. I should have chosen a larger set with more dishes as they are amazing! Thanks Walmart!

Baking dishes

I'm so happy with this purchase and should have made it sooner. The last of my very old cookware broke and I finally ordered a new set. It's had heavy use already during these holidays, with oven and microwave use, washing by hand in the dish washer (rubber lids are hand washed), and then reused again, over and over already. I like to make single dish meals for myself the lids make it easy to set some of the meal aside in the fridge, for later. I was easily able to send some food home with my neighbor thanks to the lids.

So useful for the holidays and everyday for me

My order arrived on time and was unbroken. While this iteration of CorningWare is not as  substantial, read 'as thick', as what I have had in the distant past, it is still very sturdy and appears well made.

All the covers, glass and plastic, fit well and for me stack nicely in my cabinets.

Latest CorningWare is OK for me!

Very nice. Just what I needed at a great price. My dog got up on the stove to get the food that was in the oblong dish and pulled it to the floor, breaking it. I had it for 25 years and loved it. I got this three dish set for cheaper than the one dish by itself, so I was happy. And they come with plastic lids. Only disappointment was the small dish has no glass lid.

Great value. Corningware is the best.

Love everything about this set except the unglazed porous bottoms on the bakeware.  Definitely not glass cooktop friendly, so I have to be careful not to set or scoot pans on the cooktop.

Love Corning, but…

I was sad when I learned Corning no longer makes the classic heavy duty casserole dishes.  This one is much thinner construction.  I used it a few times at home, then took it to a potluck in a padded carrier.  It was never subjected to sudden temperature changes.  When I washed it I discovered it had formed a crack several inches long all the way through the bottom.

Not sturdy constructioin

The CorningWare French White 8-Piece Ceramic Stoneware Casserole Set with Glass and Plastic Lids, Round %26 Oval is perfect.  I ordered two of these sets and only one set was delivered.  So I just want the other set delivered!

The CorningWare set is perfect however!

Received the item and everything was broken. Walmart hast the worst return processing system. They couldn't even do it in the store. I had to take it home and take care of it myself.
