Has some minor dust and a small scratch on the surface. Clearly never used though. Came with all attachments I expected. Including the big hardwood sweeper, big carpet brush, small carpet brush, duster and crevasse tool. So far Im very happy with this vacuum.

This literally ships directly from Dyson! It came in perfect condition, I couldn't even tell it was refurbished! Highly recommend, it works amazing and it is literally half the price of buying this exact model brand new off the Dyson website!

Amazing price!!

Initially I had set the bar pretty low considering it was refurbished, but it has FAR exceeded all expectations! I've had it about 2 weeks and couldn't be happier! 
Don't know why people complain about the run time- it explicitly states that it runs about 20-30 mins. It's enough to do majority of an average size home. 
Mine came practically BRAND NEW! No scuffs, no signs of previous ownership. 
Attachments are WONDERFUL, too! All in all, I'm over-impressed and 200% happy I made this purchase! Easily earns the 5 stars.

Holy heck!

This is actually the third refurbished V8 Absolute that I have purchased from Dyson (though it's the first one I've bought via Walmart).  First one was for me, then one for my sister,  and this one is for my daughter.  These things are awesome.  I really like this specific model because it is kind of in the sweet spot with just enough power/runtime to do a couple of rooms and all the good accessories at an attractive price.  It comes with both the regular "carpet" bristle brush powerhead, the "hard surface" soft roller powerhead, and the smaller powerhead for sofas, stairs, and beds.  I have a mix of hard floors and carpeting, so I purchased an extra wand (the long tube in the picture) for around $30 and I keep each of the floor powerheads attached to their own wand.  It's much easier to swap heads that way.  In summary, if you are looking at getting a Dyson cordless Vac but don't have gobs of cash in your pocket, then this is the one you should get.

Best value in a Dyson Cordless Vac

I've held off reviewing for a few weeks because I wanted to be convinced...I am!!! Ir arrived looking like new in a manufacturer box. The canister showed it was not new but one use makes plastic look rough on the inside anyway. What I'm super impressed with is the battery life it's quite the work horse. Also I'm impressed with how much it socks up even not on super max. Long story short...don't buy new this is well worth it. It comes direct from Dyson with a warranty. Very worthwhile investment. And I can't say enough for not having a cord to trip over!!

Worthwhile investment

the items in the box are in decent condition, a little trash in the dust bin, no big deal since even you use 1 time it will be like that. All work fine, saved some money for refurbished. Actually I always like to buy refurbished stuff and most of time they work fine and almost like new. This is no exception.

This Dyson V8 provides the convenience of a cordless with the power of a regular vacuum -- and the extra power of a Dyson.  This is a refurbished model that I've had for a couple of weeks -- so far it's a great value and has been working well.  It comes with a lot of attachments, which makes it convenient for different uses.  There are two large attachments for regular floor use -- one for carpets and one for uncarpeted.  I kind of wish these were combined into one like a regular vacuum so you don't have to switch them out when you're doing a regular house cleaning; but it's not a big deal.  So far the only negative is that I hung the holder on the wall but it when I insert the main handle/motor part in there it won't stay upright on the wall, but swings down so I have to prop it against something or else I'm afraid it will break right off.

Refurbished model is a very good deal

The vacuum has many scratches everywhere, on the main body and tubes. Some are quite deep and even make the paint off (see the picture I circled in red). I contacted Dyson and was told it's normal condition for refurbished machines. I know some people get machines close to new condition. But it's definitely YMMV.

Received a faulty refurbished product that literally stopped working after holding the trigger for 5 seconds and got the flashing red light that signaled faulty. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with refurbished products from Dyson.
