Is the back of the cart finished so that it can be seen when used as an island?

There are 3 small slide out doors that are suppose to be installed in that compartment. If you choose not to install them then you may be able to fit a trash can. The measurements for that space are: 
9 1/8 L x 17 3/8 D x 24 1/8 H.

What are the measurements of the long cupboard with the door.  Could I fit a trash can in it?

BHG cart is really nice and was so easy to build since it basically comes assembled. best storage for all my cooking pans as well as dinnerware. i like that it can move around easily but has locking casters if you want it to be stationary. definitely recommend

Great Storage

love this cart but don't let some of the earlier reviews fool you it comes in a million pieces.  It took us several hours to put together. The instructions were easy to follow but it was a long process. The instructions had 35 different steps.

Great cart but millions of pieces.

I really like this. I'm using it as a coffee bar. It took me about 3 hours to put together, but I think it's important to have a helper and stay organized. I decided to swap the handles, and instead of using the wheels I ordered 6” legs online that I spray painted gold. This way it is the normal height of a countertop and looks much more substantial.

Really nice addition to my kitchen

Purchased two. 1 for coffee and 1 for wine bar. As you can see in photos, we built a pedestal instead of using castors because we wanted it to be higher than 30" and look more like furniture.  In tall empty space at right, we built simple shelves to hold wine. Before putting together, we assumed the wood look was just paper, so I sprayed several coats on drawer and door faces plus top with a matte clear for extra protection from spills and stains, however, we then experimented on bottom side of shelf and water left no mark, wine left no stain. I think the print is some type of plastic?  I suggest you do all your own testing though.   We also drilled holes in top and down thru to run cords to a wall outlet.  My husband is very knowledgeable in construction and detail, but it still took him 4 hours to put the first one together. Directions were easy to understand, just lots of parts and steps. We have a few things from the Better Homes and Garden brand (Walmart) and all of them are really nice.  Some are 8 years old and still look great.  Price was good and we love how they look.

It took 4 1/2 hours to put together. That was the only downside.  But once done 8t is a sturdy, well made piece of furniture.

I had read a review that said this cart was almost fully assembled ....nothing could be further from the truth!  The box weighed over 112 lbs and not one single item was attached to another.  The instructions were pretty good but at 30 pages, daunting!  I had to hire someone from Taskrabbit to assemble it.  He is a construction foreman and it took him almost 4 hours over 2 days.  I helped by fetching parts and pieces.  It is very sturdy and looks nice.  I haven't had a chance to put stuff in it, but look forward to doing so.  Fortunately it has casters so can move about without a struggle.

Love the finished product and it works for what I purchased it for. But it took HOURS to put together as it came in a million pieces. The quality could be better for the price as well.

Love the blue cart, hated the assembly!

This kitchen cart is gorgeous! The color makes it unique and a standout piece in the kitchen. There are a few downfalls. For one, it took 3 days to put this together. The manual is over 30 pages, and you have to assemble everything down to the hardware. Second, the holes were drilled wrong in one of the slats, which makes one piece of the unfinished wood exposed. Since this is so tedious to put together, by the time I noticed it, the work that it would have taken to take things apart to  turn it around and drill new holes was not worth it. I will have to get paint to cover the exposed slat. Looking back, I would have hired someone to put it together for me. Lastly, the cart is shorter than I thought it would be. I am planning on getting taller wheels so I can use this cart as an island. Overall, it is gorgeous and sturdy, but just takes a lot of work to put together and get all set up.

Gorgeous, but Lots of Work to Put Together

I purchased this piece to use in my kitchen as a little coffee bar. It matches perfectly with my decor. It took HOURS to put together, it came in hundreds of little pieces. Once put together you could just tell how poor of a quality it is. Purchased in June 2020 and one of the doors has already broken off the hinges and some of the blue is chipping off of the front. It's a cute piece but definitely NOT worth the money!

Took forever!!! It took me and my aunt working 8 hours with the millions of pieces of to get this put together! You need a lot of patience and a lot of time. It a great little storage space but definitely not worth the time and frustration to put together unless you are an engineer.
