Works for migraines too
If you're someone who struggles with migraines, then you understand the importance of finding reliable relief and fast. This heating pad is cumbersome when used for this purpose but it's doable. My old routine consisted of lying down in a dark room, using a regular sized heating pad, literally tied to my forehead, then I placed books on top of it for counter pressure. This heating pad alleviates the need for tying one to my head, and using books. Because this is a wrap around unit, once fitted to my head, the counter pressure is kind of built in. I used this on the hottest setting and it still didn't get quite hot enough, at least not to my liking. Enjoy my ridiculous picture- it shows how I made it work on my head for migraines.

1.0 out of 5 stars Died after 2 months
Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2020
This thing only worked for 2.5 months. The inconsistent heating reviews, I believe, depend on whether you're someone who follows the instructions or not. The directions say to not let the layers overlap, but the single layer doesn't get warm enough to heat anything. Double up or overlap the strips and they get too warm. (It needs to be about an inch wider, imo.)

I used this for tennis elbow and was constantly rewrapping it. The other awkward bit: the cord is really heavy and very bulky, so it was constantly in the way (See photo). The cord to the control is also very short, so it feels like being tethered to a very restrictive leash.

One thing that I didn't consider before buying: you have to unhook it every time you stand up or move around. I can't list the number of times I went to stand up and was abruptly yanked back to the sofa. (That's more a "me" problem than a design problem though. Lol) The cord can be unhooked at the wrap rather than unwrapping every time, but the first 12 times I tried, the cord connection was really tight and bulky- I had to have someone else unhook it until it wore down and loosened up. (I have arthritis in my other hand.)

I started having problems with it blinking and not turning on two weeks ago (bought it Aug 10, today is Oct 12), but if I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it would reset and start working.
Today it officially died: it only blinks, no heat, no matter how many times I reset it.

It's a good concept, and a product that's genuinely helpful, but unless you're made of money, I'd suggest waiting for the next generation after they work out the kinks.
