This is an excellent work bench. As others who reviewed it said... the assembly instructions could have been better. They need more realistic pictures and/or a video link to watch someone assemble each step of the way. I had to redo a couple pieces during the assembly. Pretty standard workbench. Solid and durable. I love the 4 drawers on the bottom left and cabinets up top. I did receive a cosmetically damaged top cabinet piece with pretty deep scuffs and scratches. So other than that... all pieces and screws/fasteners/nuts are there, and it's exactly what I wanted.

Awesome Workbench. Needs Detailed Instructions.

I had been needing a dedicated table and storage for my tools for a while. When I had the opportunity to own and try this one out I jumped at it. It arrived in one box and was very heavy. I unpacked it and laid out all the pieces. Everything was labeled and the instructions were well written. Everything fit together smoothly but it does take a while to put together. Once completed it is heavy but very sturdy. Every part beside the tabletop is metal and very well built. The tabletop seems to be made from pressed wood and is very solid. The drawers don’t open and close the easiest but works well enough. There are three smaller drawers and one big one. There are two storage containers on top as well as a shelf on top of that. The back of it has holes for you to insert hooks and place tools. The included light is easy to install and lights up the work area very nicely.
I put all my tools into the drawers and cabinets and am really enjoying using it. I love having a dedicated spot for my tools, and the ability to use them on projects right there on the tabletop. Makes it a breeze! I would definitely recommend this product for someone looking for a home tool storage and table setup!

Great tool storage and tabletop!

We have a small garage so a lightweight compact workbench fits our needs. 

Has work light and 3-prong power outlet strip mounted on the front, which makes it easy to plug in chargers for battery operated tools. 

Measures Assembled: 47.5" wide x 24.25" deep x 68.25" tall. 

Has four drawers that open and close easily, however......I can only securely put lightweight items in the drawers due to pressboard bottoms. The drawers are deep enough to fit tape measures, levels, rasps, files, chisels, extension cords, tape, hacksaw, and parts. Most of our electrical tools are too heavy for this weight of pressboard to support. 

Son has a similar workbench; his has metal drawer bottoms proving a lot more support.

Overhead cabinets are built stronger and, I feel, easily hold our heavier tools. 

We have, from a previous purchase, hooks and tool holders that fit great in the peg-board back. 

This workbench has an all steel frame, is painted a rust resistant glossy black, and has a maximum capacity of 558 lbs. 

The work area top is a sturdy particle board and will be easy to replace, if necessary, after a few years of pounding, drilling, and painting. 

Assembly is required. Instructions clearly state which screws to use with which parts and come with plenty of pictures.


Took me about 3 hours to unpack, lay out all parts, and then assemble. I also used a small hand-drill for assembly. 

Each bolt has the washer and nut already attached so you have to first unscrew the nut before assembling increasing the assembly time but at least you know you have a nut and washer for each bolt.

Instructions are written in English only. 

Because of weaker drawer bottom and the bag of screwed together nuts and bolts - 4 rating.

Size is perfect for small spaces

The bench has been a great addition to my work room, I have used it to repair minor projects and my desktops and laptops. The work surface is a nice smooth area that has given me enough room to layout a laptop and all the parts for the repairs. The power strip has been great for me to use my cloner and several items at the same time. The work light and overhead shelving have been great for storing drives, cables and miscellaneous parts. The drawers have plenty of room for the tools and miscellaneous items: such as screws, bolts and general household items. The box is a handful to carry, I set it in the carport and took out the parts a few at a time an laid them out and step by step assembled the bench. The instructions are a little lacking in illustrations of the orientation of the braces and other parts. None of my parts had any arrows or up stickers on the pieces so a little disassembly had to take place after finding out that I installed the brace the wrong way, parts 5 and 8 need to have the square holes in the up position. The assemble took me a few hours to put together, I was not in a hurry and had to carry the parts into the room. The unit is a little shaky, but not bad for my intended use, for the price I cant complain. My box came pretty beat up and a lot of the parts were bent, but were easily straighten.

Good for the price

This was easy to assemble, is sturdy and a great height to easily and comfortably work at.  the upper storage compartment doors slide rough though.  I installed the light under the upper cabinet with velcro instead of on the pegboard.   Does not come with the stool, but get that too, its the perfect height foe this bench.

Nice workbench

I spent at least 4 hours assembling this workbench. It replaces one i had at my previous home that cost half as much, In summary i would not buy this one for 2x the $. It is somewhat better, but my concerns are:

1. I had to assemble the back in a slightly modified way, the vertical part did not fit. I assume that if i had called the company they would have sent some replacement or offered help, but i was not interested in spending that much more time on it.
2. The light does not have a switch. I installed one, but this "corner cut" did not save the company much money but was a pain for me (see picture)
3. The power strip does not hold well and i added a zip tie to hold it (see picture).
4. The wood table top is held to the frame with small 1/2 inch wood screws. I plan to install thru bolts to hold the top to the frame.
5. The roll down doors for the top shelves do not stay on their tracks. I have not fashioned a fix yet, but sense a wood strip is needed to hold the rollers in place on each side

High points:

A. Drawers open almost fully
B. Is mainly well built and strong

Mostly well built, some corners cut

Arrived damaged and missing power cord. Took 3 1/2 hours to assemble. Reached out to request the power cord and they said to return it. It was a bit hard to put together so we weren't going to disassemble it after all that. Bottom of drawers is pressed board. Once assembled it was fairly sturdy. Okay for the price.

Probably good for a hobbyist.

I looked at all the negative reviews - Tons of loose parts, tons of multiple sizes of bolts and screws,  missing parts, horrible to put together. I said for the price "challenge accepted". They were right though, and i can add more to the list! I also had a painted over rusty shelf, the bench top slab (pressboard) was damaged to the point the corners were rounded/gouged off. I laid out all my parts and the only part missing was something to support the underside towards the back of the benchtop. I fabricobbled some L brackets and self tappers ao it would be supported. Since I read all the issues on this item,  I went slow, organizing all the parts, reading over the instructions that did not 100% align with the parts and the part numbers (close, but no).  Over 3 nights after work and dinner I peiced it together, loctiting the hardware as i went since im used to this thin guage metal fl3xing and they work loose over time (no washers, lockwashers, or nylon  nuts with it) Once fully assembled it looked like the photo. Light enough to just slide around, wobbly enough to know you arent putting a vice on it or hitting anything of aubstance with a hammer. If you want light light duty with a heavy look that is closer to its ideal use. Also, all my drawers and cabinets worked after install, but now they just kind of flop out, go crooked, and fall off (theyre not broke, loose, or bent). All these horrible things aside, I dont hate it and would buy it again. Its like having a drunk uncle that you have to keep in line at bars and family functions because he's rough, but he'll still help you fix your roof when it leaks. I use my bench for crafting, painting, assembly, and 3d printing post processing. The consumer in me wants to rate this a 1. the craftsman who took this as a challenge wants to give it a 4, because it finished and is useful. Click BUY for a challenge.

The metal equivalent of pressboard furniture

The item comes very well packed but they don't take the corners into consideration waited for this to arrive to find corner damaged from being tossed around

Damaged

Missing a small part 13L which is 12" x 24" cannot get a hold of the manufacturer GreatStar customer service and Walmart can not get a hold of GreatStar to get replacement part.
Walmart "policy" is to return the item before a new one is shipped out.  The item weighs 80  pounds and it is fully assembled for 3-4 hours (workbench).    Instead of sending a small box with the missing item ($20) they are picking up the assembled bench 68" high, 48" long and 36" high table by freight truck and shipping a new bench not assembled.   What a waste of money!!!!!!

NOT HAPPY WITH WALMART SERVICE OR RESPONSE!!
