Bought to replace old generator we use if a hurricane cuts our electricity. Runs a room air conditioner that needs 6Amps with power left over for tv, frig,. Is quiet. Has not been put to full use just tried it out on needed electrical items in case of power outage.

at first, I couldn't get this to power my 1500W microwave, so I reached out to customer service and learned that microwave ovens are inductive load devices, and in order to power an inductive load device it requires more than three times the power of the device to start it but after it's running for a while it would reduce to 1500W. because of this, you can't power it. Everything else I've plugged in has worked great though. this is my first generator so I learned something new

first generator but it's easy to use.

First of all and I just everything that Rockpals make.  I purchased various products from them and all are still going strong.  When I saw they made a CARB compliant fas generator at a great price I had to by it!  So Ive been using it here and there all week, but really put it to the test on Fathers Day.  Had my BBQ in the backyard but I have no power outlets so I used the generator to power a medium size fridge and a 42 Flat Panel TV for over 8 hours, not a single issue!  It worked great and was not loud at all.  Looking forward to taking it on our camping trips this summer.

We recently had a tornado shelter built and installed in our garage. Living in Arkansas, a shelter provides a great sense of security and, for our family, was a necessity. We've been looking for an alternate power source to use in case of a power outage due to severe weather or any other reason. I did my research and after reading the reviews and finding a great deal on this unit we decided to purchase it. I loved that it promised to be super quiet and I am very happy to say that it truly is just that. My family members own other generators and each of them are irritatingly noisy, so I was apprehensive. I was beyond thrilled when we started this one up as we could easily carry on a conversation standing right next to it while it was running. I love that it has multiple outlets in various sizes to accommodate our needs. It has (2) 120V household outlets, (1) 12V outlet, (2) USB Ports

I feel prepared and that's a huge comfort.

Lately, with all the precautionary power outages in California, I decided it's time for my very own generator. I found this one on Walmart at an unbeatable price and decided to give it a try.
Wow, it was delivered within 2 days. I followed the instructions  from the manual and the generator started on the second pull practically out-of-the-box. I was impressed.
Yesterday, Oct 23, the lights went out  for 200,000 people, including us.  I had prepped the generator and plugged in 2 cords, started with the refrigerator and a couple of light. generator was quietly humming away. I added the TV

I purchased this generator to help power the essentials of my home in the chance of a power outtage or when I would be going camping/ tailgating. I haven't attempted this during a power outage as of yet; however, I did take it with me when camping in the Catskills. What an awesome purchase! It starts right up after the first pull, super super quiet, and extremely affordable. It's somewhat lightweight and easy to move around. My favorite feature is the ability to switch to Economy mode! A recommended product, for sure.

Powerful, lightweight, and Quiet.

Hard to beat at this price. In testing I was able to run an 1850 watt hair dryer without tripping the overload circuit, which is in line with the 1600 watt load, 2000 watt peak rating. The sine wave must not be exactly clean because my digital inline wattage meter would only sometimes be able to tell me the amperage/watts being pulled through the socket.  Construction is top notch. Nice instruction manual, and required tools are provided. Getting oil in the engine is a bit challenging to know when to stop and took a while. Could not get it to start following the instructions which said to pull out the choke knob. At 60 degrees ambient temp I finally pushed in the choke knob and it started right away. The 1 gal tank is supposed to run for hours. Mostly very happy with this, but it is LOUD and the exhaust is smelly, similar to a gas lawn mower. It might be "Super Quiet" compared to an industrial generator, but all of your surrounding neighbors will definitely hear you operating this.  The engine RPM (and noise) ramps up and down with the load - the ECO button only seems to set a lower idle speed.  One star off just for giving a false impression of how loud it is in operation.  I will only use in case of a rolling blackout, so long term storage is a bit of a hassle as you need to empty all the gas.

Works as rated, great price, but NOT "Super Quiet"

I really like this gen. Only reason 4 outta 5 is its noisy and they advertised as quiet. Not as good of fuel consumption as well. I filled it then timed from full to 3/4 full. I then timed from 3/4 full to 1/2 full and so on. Good little generator I will admit and I got it at a real good price so I can't really complain. I live in Florida so I'm sure this will get alot of use.

Nice

PROS:
* Like it says, it is very quiet for a generator, especially in eco mode!
* Very affordable and easy to set up.
* Doesn't seem to use gas quickly, especially in eco mode. 
* A lot of power in a little generator. 
* Seems safe and is very clear about safety warnings. 

CONS: 
* The instruction manual can be a little bit unclear and some things seem to have changed since it was wrote (but they do have 24/7 support if you need it).
* Somewhat heavy when filled with gas.

We just bought 9 acres of land and there is currently no power at our home site. With us doing light construction there, we occasionally have a need to power certain devices that we otherwise wouldn't be able to without a decently priced generator. Since this is a temporary thing and we're not too experienced with generators we thought that this was a perfect fit for the power we wanted and within our budget.

My husband has also wanted a generator for our current home for his fish tank because we will occasionally lose power in the winter for a day or two which means that his tropical fish would die without a generator.

My husband took maybe 30 minutes to get this fully set up, which included the walk to the gas station to get oil and a half tank of gas. He's a big stickler about instructions so he made sure to read everything very thoroughly. We were very thankful that it came with a screwdriver and everything it needed. The instruction book recommends SAE-30 oil so that's what we used. 

He did mention that the instruction booklet says to fill up the tank to the red line but there is no red line anymore. Instead there is a gas gauge which will move from empty to full. Outside of this he had no issues filling it up. He was very careful about keeping the hot exhaust pointed away from everything when he went to fire it up.

He struggled a little bit to get it started up but that was only because he wouldn't listen to me when I told him to push the choke in after it's started to sound like it was firing up. If it sounds like it's trying to start, push the choke in and it will start up all the way.

After he fired it up we plugged in a device and switched it to eco mode. The Eco Mode is a great way to make sure that you don't use your gas quickly. If you have a device or tool that requires a lot of energy initially to start you want to keep eco mode off until it's running then you can turn eco mode on. The eco-mode is a great feature and will not affect the power of your device after you turn it on.

He was a little concerned about the fact that the instruction booklet said it needed a ground but after doing some research online he decided it was safe enough to run without a ground wire.

Overall I really like this generator and it's going to do what we need it to do. I have no complaints about the generator itself but I do wish the instruction manual was a little bit more clear with specific instructions that match the device.

Quiet and good value generator for what you pay.

This unit should say 12A 1400W MAX!! Bought this directly from rockpals to use camping.  It seems to be over rated.  My truck camper AC surges power up to 1800W but drops to sub 1000W running and this could not run it.  I even turned the fan on first and then the compressor and that didn't help it just gave up every time.   I plugged my AC into a 15A GFCI outlet in my house with a Watt meter and it turns on just fine never going over 1800W.   

Rockpals asked me to test other loads.  I tried  most tools in my garage and they trip the breaker on this generator.  My 12A rated circular saw is the toughest thing this will run and it really bogs down cutting a soft 2x4.   I'm writing this review to warn others this is only a 12A max ~1400W unit tops. without Eco Mode running.  I would guess Eco mode brings it down to half that.  So buy this for 6A 700W loads or run it on loud and gassy mode the whole time.    I guess you get what you pay for I just want to return it.
