No, you can't use the flash drive to print the file.

Can I use a flash drive to print the files?

does it have any kind of support for external drives? (i.e. Flashdrives, SD cards)

Please advise me as to what filament is used in this printer.  I would like to order additional with printer, if available!

As A Gift

The printer is very easy to use for beginners. I like the 6x6x6" print size and half enclosed system for my son at elementary school. I also like the free design software and free 3D downloads on its website.

Best 6"x6"x6" 3D printer I can find for beginners

This printer is awesome!  I used it to make an iPhone watch charging port and a keychain for my wallet.  It's nice and compact and works as advertised.

Happy with my purchase

This is my first 3D printer and it came nicely packaged.  It requires some reading and watching videos to do what you may want to do but pretty cool overall.  Low price and a very complete starter package.

Love this 3D pronter. Comes with all the software and accesories and material. Fits very nice in my home  

Ready to go right outside the box in less than 1 hour. There are many free files online to download (beer bottle opener, coasters, phone gadget, household items) and send to the 3d printer softerware for printing, 21st century living indeed.

These XYZ machine turn out nice prints. The Cons to it is XYZ forces you to use their PLA that runs out at 200 meters. Check eBay for the alternative for that issue.

Good Prints and Software

Good Startup Printer

I purchased this printer as a complete novice in the world of 3D printing but I am quickly becoming an enthusiast.  There are definetly pros and cons with this machine.

Pros:
- Easy setup
- Everything you need to start printing is included
- Decent quality for the price
Its sleek and looks pricier than it really is.

Cons:  
- No LCD screen or SD card slot.  Prints must be spolled from computer.
- No heated bed.  It took me a few failed prints to discover that glue sticks are my new best friend.
- It uses proprietary Filament with embedded RF chip in the spool.  No third party filament can be used.  Tip:  do not buy direct from XYZ printing if you can avoid it.  Their shipping costs are outrageous.  Buy filament from Walmart.com.
- Small bed size.  6âx 6â

In conclusion this was a great buy and it has been reliable.  I will at some point I purchase a bigger and better machine as this cannot accomodate some of the larger projects that Iâd like to tackle but it has been fun learning the craft so far and I look forward keeping this around awhile.

Great Starter 3D Printer

it would have been much better if it came with a bit more filament add some more adhesive pads or a proper 3D printing mat to put on the base otherwise it works amazing right out the box

An amazing value

Instructions for assembly were good.  However, beyond that, problems with documentation and support.  Their website was down a couple of times. 
Returned the unit without trying to print.

Poor documentation

Piece of crap came with cartridge that was supposed to have chip. Chip was missing. Have to get in touch with them have a new cartridge. What kind of crap is this you have buy from them for double the price. I'm sending this thing back.
Also no heated bed for the price charged.

Don't buy it

The software required to use this printer is terrible. There is no support for the mac version so in order to upgrade the firmware, I have to carry it to my PC and use the software there and have it plugged in via USB.
Now I am trying to unload the filament but the software keeps freezing everytime I click unload filament.

Sadly there's no other way to control this printer besides the XYZ software which is terrible!
