It is only easy to clean if the unit is used properly and the oil mixture does not burn. Use it wisely and it will last.

Pot comes out, Do Not put in water, if you clean it after each use it's easy to keep clean.

If you can clean a coffee maker than you can clean this...pretty easy, and you learn how it works.

Ys just wipe out after each use. I do not use soap, just water.

I do believe they are referring to to the bottom panel where corn falls. After owning 3 different kinds there is no separate "kernel" catcher!

I saw no seperate piece- either. I have it and just see a kettle with a stirring rod. It has flip open doors on the kettle-maybe they serve as the kernel catcher...

This unit does not come with an insert to catch the popped corn. I line the bottom with foil and use a plastic container that is smaller than the bottom of the unit to catch the popcorn. We 1st purchased a popper that was very similar and had a drop in plastic tray, but the kettle on it was defective, so I had to return it to the store and ordered this on online.

No, the only things included with the popcorn maker is a popcorn kernel scoop and a oil measuring spoon no kernels and butter/oil.

I purchased this as an Xmas gift for the whole family and they loved it. We made popcorn right after we opened it. Need to follow the instructions and warm up the machine for 5 minutes then add the oil and kernels. I took the advice and did not use Orville kernels.I purchased a kit at Walmart by Kernel Season's which included kernels and seasoning. I used Orville's butter oil for popcorn. I haven't tried the vegetable oil which the instructions recommended. I made 3 batches in less than 10 minutes and it was enough for a family of 5. I also purchased the butter spray and different kinds of popcorn seasonings for the popcorn. The machine is pretty easy to clean. Simply take out the kettle and pour hot soapy water in it and let it sit for a few minutes. While the kettle soaks you wipe the inside of the machine with a warm damp soapy rag or kitchen paper and then dry. All together it took about 5 minutes to clean. The only thing I wish it came with is a scoop to scoop up the popcorn once its popped. It also looks very nice on my counter. I gave it a lower review for durability since the door feels very fragile and needs to be handled gently. Looks like it could break easily. Bottom line, I would recommend this machine to any popcorn lover.

Love love this machine. I got this for a family Holiday present and WOW. It does exactly what is expected and brings the family closer as I wanted. Movie Nights in the home with children is more entertaining and appreciated by all. No more microwave popcorn! The joy my children get and the anticipation it builds is the most precious part. They are excited and it doesn't feel like a chore or a must do for parents, its a want to. It is so quick and easy to set up, the popcorn pops without fear of burning it, every piece is light, crunchy, and fresh. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. Clean up is a snap. Space saving design allows me to leave it out for use any time of the week. The best part is, I know its fresh and I know whats in it. Family night events have been enjoyed more regularly because of this machine.
