We recently upgraded to this TV from an old LG plasma set that was about 10 inches smaller. Its easy to use, easy to set up and the picture quality is great on the SD content that we largely view. I tested out some 4K HDR content and it looked pretty nice though certainly different than what I'm used to. My only complaint is that the home screen for the TV is very bright and I haven't figured out a way to reduce the brightness. But overall this TV is awesome for the price.

Super happy to get this TV especially at the price point. I took one star off because of a couple things. One, for some reason my sound quality on this TV is horrendous. I'm not sure if something wiggled lose in the delivery process but it was definitely frustrating. I hooked it up to a soundbar though and that fixed the issue. Another thing to keep in mind with TCL Roku TV's is that you need to buy the TCL remote attachment to be able to use your soundbar volume on the Roku remote, or you need to hook your soundbar via the HDMI Arc. I like using the digital output instead because the quality is supposed to be better, but I had to buy the Roku Remote attachment for 25 bucks to be able to use it on the same remote. Other than that the picture quality is absolutely beautiful! Especially for 400 bucks!Read full review

I did a lot of research before purchasing this TV and was a little skeptical due to the high amount quality control complaints that I found. I decided to give it a try anyway. What I have found is that this is an amazing TV at its price point. Did I notice banding when displaying a white screen? Yes, if I stared at a white screen I could tell there was banding. But when am I ever going to watch a blank white screen?! Did I notice dark corners? Sometimes, but really only on static screens (like when an app is loading). I haven't noticed it at all while watching a movie or playing Xbox games. Obviously this isn't a perfect TV, but you also aren't paying 2-3x the cost for a Sony or OLED. For the quality and features it does have, it is fantastic at its price point. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away...as long as you go into it having the right expectations. If you want something more perfect with less banding or dark corners or whatever, go spend twice as much for an LG OLED.Read full review

Excellent value for a mid size 4K TV under $300. Picture quality is excellent, though viewing angle leaves a little to be desired. HDR is average. I use it for Xbox One X 4K gaming mainly. Low (sub 20ms) latency makes it great for online multiplayer. Roku smart TV features are an added bonus. Menus are easy to navigate.

After spending weeks researching 4k tvs I settled with this one and loving my decision. I have this in my man cave aka garage yet the excessive sunlight has no negative effect. The picture quality is amazing it feels like your literally part of the scene specially in 4K. Now I know what they meant by “deepest blacks” and the price is unbelievable having spent $1,000 more on a Sony w lesser image quality. The best part is somehow I got this brand new on eBay for $40 less than anywhere else, free shipping and no sales tax. When you live in So Cal getting a break from sales tax is a gift sent from heaven!
