We have been using a Sonicare Electric toothbrush for my husband and myself since 2000. I usually don't watch TV commercials but I was in the hospital in 2000 with double pneumonia for a month and had no choice but to watch the commercials. That is why I remember exactly when I got my first electric toothbrush. They had such a great commercial that I called and ordered one for myself and my daughter and her family. We used it all the time until a few months ago when it started to go bad. It was just worn out because we brush a lot. But lasting for 16 and a half years is a great record. We had been furnished with replacement heads for the life of the Brush as part of the deal, so we got way more than we paid for at $50.00. Bought this "old school" model after the new ones (both mine and my wife's) bushings bit he dust and they started getting VERY noisy. Works great! Didn't realize the "quad-minder" feature is only on some models. Oh well - I'm pretty tuned into a good 2 minute routine.

We have 4 of these and the new ones at Costco were quite expensive and different. We wanted two more for our remote cabin and were looking for battery operated units. Got two of those but they are much lower frequency and not the same. Reviews said so but they were only $15 each so we took a chance. Then decided to get the rechargeable ones just like those we already had and set up a small modified sine wave inverter to keep them charged (we are off-grid). Work great!

My dental check ups have never been better. I have been using this electric toothbrush for over three years now. It cleans extremely well, the brush heads last 4-5 months each and it eliminates gum recession. With a manual toothbrush people tend to brush way too hard and your gums start to recede from your teeth(been there). The Sonicare has eliminated this completely because you let the Philips do all of the work! Well worth the money!
