My old iMac finally died and I didn't want to spend $1,000 for a second computer (primary is a Macbook). This Lenovo was the best cheap alternative. Many entry-level Windows machines have 2GB RAM, and I wanted a minimum of 4GB. This one hit the sweet spot with 4GB and a 500 GB hard drive. The built-in DVD burner was just a bonus. Although I still don't like Windows, this is very stable. I find it a little slow, but I suspected it would be with a Celeron processor. For what it is, it's hard to fault. Nice build quality and way more useful than a Chromebook for about the same price. I can't comment about battery life since I haven't used it that way yet. Putting aside my Mac prejudice, this is a great value for the money.

Not bad performance. All plastic seems pretty cheap. Needs more usb ports, the keyboard layout is different than I'm used to by the arrows. The shift button is to the right of the arrows.

I am just new with this. Glad it has HDMI and usb 3.0 Just tried loading windows 7 on it and have not had any luck doing it though I used two different reloading cd s and watching videos from those knowledgeable with windows 10. If you expect to do this with yours, think again ! Fantastic price for 2.4 Ghz and 500 g hard drive with 4 g of ram on a ful size laptop. If I hadn't bought this for a gift to someone, I would be really struggling to remove all the bloatware, security and change to windows 7. Beware ! Laptop self destructed while I was offline for 2 months. Don't buy one of these. If you are smart you will buy a laptop and load ubuntu on it and learn how to use that. No such issues with open source operating systems. Windows owns all you do on their program. Ubuntu prevents any third party monitoring of your work on your computer ! Learn it and dump windows forever. That is my next move. I am tired of Windows throwing a wrench in every darn thing I work on !Read full review

I will recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a good but less expensive laptop to use. This laptop comes with a handful of functionalities that most expensive laptops have. Honestly, it is a good deal for its price. The only issue I have with it is that it has a decent battery life span. Besides that, it is a really good laptop.

So far, so good. I went from a Win 7 laptop to this new one with Win 10 and so far it's been working great. It's just taking a little to get used to the new operating system. The only thing about this new computer is that with the numeric keypad on it, some of the other buttons are a little smaller than I'm used too. The space bar and the right side shift buttons for example. Nothing that hurts the performance, just a little getting used to with these big fingers of mine. The slot to put in a SD card is a little tricky to get to as in I kind of have to lift up the front of the machine to put a card in. Not that it's hard to put in, I just can't see the slot on the curved front edge. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who needs a decently priced computer without lots of stuff you don't need to uninstall, is pretty lightweight, and has a good battery life.Read full review
