I have had three of these Epson printers, each of which is easy to set up, prints promptly and clearly, and provides a lot of pages/cartridge. Each of these printers, however, develops an obstruction in the line to one or more colors within a year of initial use, and these obstructions -- notwithstanding several YouTube videos purporting to show how to clear them -- reduce the printer to a black-and-white output tool. I use my current Epson strictly for B-and-W document output, and a Canon 920 for color documents. When the Epson eventually dies, it will be the last of its line in my office.

This is a very easy printer to set up, even the wireless feature (providing you know your wireless password.) There are a lot of mechanical flaws-- this is my fourth epson 4530 due to previous failures. Why do I keep getting it? 1. Easy to set up 2. Price this time was only $99 for refurbished 3. You can keep 4x6 photo paper in the back paper tray and print photos wirelessly without having to load photo paper each time. 4. It has a fax machine that works fine 5. You can print from your iPhone 6. The cartridges are super easy to snap in 7. You can call epson support and talk to a person easily-- it's always maddening to have to call IT support, but at least they have support! 8. Altho print quality is not the best, at least it prints quickly and reliably
All around well made printer. Copies and scans, although the scan feauture is a little complicated at first to know where your scan goes after using this feature. I found out it is easier to scan and copy from the printer verses my PC. Huge ink carts, I refill so the expense will not affect me but the epson carts are more costly thatn the smaller carts for other models. Love the printer so far, back is removable so paper jams are easy to fox, but have noticed this printer jams when using the tray more than most printers. The humidity here may affect the paper? I am thinking about switching to the back paper tray to solve this.
What a OUTSTANDING printer...set-up was EASY..never even hooked up to laptop...just entered wireless sec.code and it did the rest...softwaree was simple and straight forward..it prints from smart cell phones wirelessly with app from epson. It makes my last lexmark printer look like a MODEL A from 100 years ago.ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE INVESTMENT...GIANT cartridges each seperately replaceable..only thing I could say I wish it had was a stand-by mode or wake function as it MUST be on or powered up for any mode or type of operation..going into stand-by and being awakened by fax call or print command would be the hot ticket.Even with that said I would not think twice and WILL BUY another EPSON as long as it compares or exceeds this one but they have set the bar pretty high with this printer.
I bought this printer because of my past experience with Epson. It is a well built and sturdy piece of equipment. However I am disappointed because I could not get through the initial setup. I followed the directions and after installing the ink cartridges I got an error message saying that the black and magenta cartridges had to be replaced. I used the cartridges provided with the printer. After several attempts at removing and reinstalling them, I was still getting the same error message, very frustrating. I called Epson customer service and was told that they would send me replacement cartridges within 5 business. days. Still waiting, so much for printing Christmas cards this year.
