It's a good solid device, even by today's standards. It doesn't have all the gimmicks of the newer S3 and S4, but does have all the functionality. Battery life could be better, but 4G uses more battery and this one still has decent battery life. I've seen and used devices with worse battery. When this device first came out, it was ahead of it's time with features like 4G and NFC ready. The camera is very good. It has an 8mp camera when most released at the time had 5mp. It comes with 16gb internal storage and supports up to 32gb memory cards. It also has a removable battery. Both are getting harder to find in recent smartphones.
Very user friendly phone, I am happy that I bought this phone. Nice sized display that is easy to see, lots of apps available in the play store and upgradeable to Jelly Bean OS. The sound is good, easily setup my emails and synced well with my Bluetooth devices. The only issue I have had so far is it stopped recognizing my 32GB micro sd card. No problem with the 4GB, just the 32GB. Don't know if it is the phone or sd card, I read conflicting stories on line about this issue. I would buy this phone again in a heart beat.
I bought this phone because of the features. It has great 8mp and a front facing 2mp cameras. You can listen to music with good quality sound. Easy to manage apps. Crisp clear screen shows great pictures. It is slim and lightweight. Easily fits in my pocket without weighing it down or rattling around. Crystal clear sound. As good or better than an iphone. The price is another reason. Why pay full price for this phone, when you can get it online in the same condition. Too bad this retailer no longer has this phone for sale though. They are close to where I live, so shipping was really fast. Only took four days to get it to my door.
I bought this product to move from Simple Mobile (non-contract) from AT&T's high payment plans, the features well exceed its value so the Galaxy S II is worth it. I like this product because of the 8mp rear camera & 2mp front camera, the high resolution, ease of use, high value of phone. I dislike the battery life it drains quick, Gingerbread Operating Systems is ok but upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich for a better experience. This product compares to others very well, I had an iPhone 4 before I bought this and I must say that it exceeds my expectations...I thought about the Galaxy S III as well it's a bit faster and Jelly Bean operating system is out of this world. Overall Galaxy S II is worth your money if you're going into a non-contract plan and the value of the phone retains itself and selling it later will be worth it.Read full review
Using the phone is great, no problems with battery life either. I was previously using the lg revolution, so there's no comparison between the two really. skyrocket is fast, easy to use, nice bright screen, lightweight, durable, even the widgets and bloatwear aren't bad. The music player is another great thing about this phone. The only thing that disappointed me was the camera operations. The quality is great, but the focus on the pictures was weird. Overall a really cool phone.
