Now, you all know I make the clothes for the little cuties, but this really bothers me. I am all for free enterprise, but it really scares me with all of the "crystals" and dye all over them. What if some little 3 year old puts them in their mouth? I just don't think it is very safe. What do you guys think?

Most of my local Walmarts are saying they have, nada, nothing, zero on hand. They have not been holding them back and don't know when they might get some. One Walmart lady joked "false advertising". Ok!

I talked to one earlier in the week. They were suppose to have this BIG PLAN, a line, designated area, and so on. They have a whole total of 4 in their store. Nope, not 4 cases, not 4 pallets, not 4 racks..............but 4, 1 box, 1 of each color. Glad I called again to ask instead of heading out there to stand in line.

Now I have been getting several "they might be on tonights truck, we don't know" type answers. So I think I am going to just hit the 'ole computer and wait for the rooster to crow, bark, meow.............

Someone let their child color that one. Young child. Either that or they colored it in the dark.

I still like my dream of a mint green hamster named Yum Yum but I'd like it factory made not someone's art project.

I just can't figure out WHY someone would buy one that someone has colored on or glued stuff to. And I don't care how secure they say those beads are glued on there, it can't be safe for a little child!

My husband and I both got a good laugh out of the $38 batteries the first time you guys were talking about it. I'm really surprised it even went out of stock in the first place.

I just thought about something...since I am on the east coast, when my hubby goes to Walmart I can report back to you all so that you know how the hamster frenzy is going. That way you all on the west or in the middle of the country will have a heads up!

I agree, you can't let kids play with those. Just handling them the beads will come loose. As much as I'm hunting these little hamsters, I don't see myself "collecting" them and putting them on a shelf to look at.

If he decides to go to TRU, IDK because of the one hamster deal, I will let you all know that, too.

On Cepia's ZhuZhuPets.com site they show the orange carrier as more of a yellow and they don't show the blue one at all.

There is no blue bed is there?

I just got home from Walmart . Decided to check the Zhu Zhu area... which is EMPTY except for a "Limit 2 Per Person" sign!!!!!! We have NEVER EVER EVER had a limit before, and never needed to. It looks like the sign was from the corporate office or something because it said on it, in small print, when/where to post it. I just hope they don't continue the 2/person limit beyond this weekend. Because if I end up finding the newbies before Christmas (doubtful), I am going to play dirty to get all 4... and I don't care WHO knows it! LOL (I will call my MIL to come and check out with 2 if that is what it takes!!).

Now I can get rid of the 3 pack from TRU when it comes since it's a lot more expensive. I bought almost everything they had out with the exception of a few hamsters and a few accessories-I felt bad about taking everything and lucky I did because some lady walked by after me and picked up the last 3 hamsters for her kids stockings (I heard her talking on the phone about it)! I almost didn't even go in that store either but I needed toothpaste and a shirt for DD! I'll have to check the wish list now.
Wow... what a GREAT feeling!!!!!!!! Imagine the people who are going to stand at Walmart /TRU to get 1 or 2, and your Target just has them sitting there! Sort of ironic.

I agree... it SHOULD be against the law to defile a Zhu Zhu like that. Leave them alone! They dont want to be dyed or bejeweled! LOL

I have an aqua blue carrier, but I never saw a bed in that color.

Just called the 3rd Walmart today, this one is about 20 min north of me. They stated that the Hamsters will be handed out by the sporting goods desk. Limit of 2. Even though it's a 24 hour store the sporting goods dept closes at 10 pm and will open back up at 7am, so we would have to be in line way earlier than 7. I just wish that there would be one plan across the board, 3 different walmarts in driving distance and all 3 are different.

Yes there is. TRU is the only one who I have seen carry them. They are a 2 pack. The one is a aqua bed with a pink carrier and the other odd one is an orange carrier with a green bed. They do exhist!

Getting in line way earlier than 7 really sucks! But on the bright side, 3 different ways of doing it gives you three different chances of scoring hamsters. Both my Walmart 's are doing it the same, so I have to choose which one and hope I choose right.

They do also sell the orange and green carriers by themselves, but I won't be picky!! I can always take the beds I have back to the store.

The blue carrier is more a turquoise or teal color, which is why dh thinks it is too girly. Of course, he thinks the hamsters are girly too but ds7 likes them and ds7 gets whatever he wants (daddy is wrapped around his finger) (ds7 has Down Syndrome so we encourage creative play strongly)

So, besides Zhu Zhu, what else are your kids asking for?

I think that might be as good a plan as any! I am wondering what midnight might bring online.

I'd be willing to bet I could go to my Walmart tomorrow and get hamsters Provided they got any in that is. I think there's only 2 of us around here that are even aware of them

DD (4) wants a dollhouse from Santa, a new doll, doll stroller, and everything she sees advertised on tv! Luckily for me, I bought the wooden Melissa and Doug dollhouse (w/furniture and family) last year on an Amazon sale for $40...Whooohooo!

DS (7) wants DS games, a tub of legos, a clock, and a bow an arrow set. I can't get him to commit to what he wants Santa to bring so I'm still attempting that. DH wants to get him a netbook computer but DS doesn't seem interested so I say "no".

DD is easy, DS is not, so will be looking to see what other 7 year old boy's are wanting!
