4 of 5 Nice flat screen! Saturday, November 08, 2008 Jim from NJ
Good price for a very good product, Samsung makes quality stuff. A little disappointed that I cannot go straight to an HD channel since there isn't a decimal point on the remote, but overall the picture is great with fine sound. Looking forward to digital conversion next year. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Versatile Monday, October 20, 2008 Dave from Virginia Beach, VA
I bought this product about one month ago now, and I have been quite pleased with it's performance so far. I don't normally watch enough TV to make it worth getting a big HDTV. I've hooked it up to my new computer and Xbox 360 and have gotten excellent picture quality from both. It's a big screen so I can multitask easily and watching movies is enjoyable because I can sit across the room and still see the picture. Two cons: 1. The power button is a little fickle; often non-responsive. Usually, I just end up using the controller. 2. It doesn't have a sleep mode. If I leave my computer and it goes to sleep, it will put up an annoying message which leaves me concerned it could burn the pixels. Other than that, it's a great buy! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Monitor Monday, October 06, 2008 Serendipity from Clemson, SC
The monitor is really big! It has beautiful color.
It is great that this monitor can get TV signal as well as get signal from PC. Therefore, I can install some big software and change the mode to TV and wait for the software to be finished.
However, it spends a lot of effort for me to make it work compatibly with my laptop in Windows. I need to install a software called nature color which has a big bug in the version from the disk it brings with. The bug causes my laptop blue screen and need to restart every time I start it. That's suck.
And I also found one problem in play movie in real play in a window mode that those area not playing the movie shows strange white lines occasionally. This is also annoying making me feel it didn't pass the quality check.

Overall, i'm happy with this monitor, huge display for PC and no dead pixel. The HD quality, 1080p is also extremly sharp, watching HD channels and playing PlayStation 3 have never been this great.
Unfortunelty, the Touch of Color is the major disapointing in this product. I recieved a sligtly defect product, the ToC only glowing about an inch, only right under the power button, instead the whole bottom bar of the monitor.
I figured that is not the major problem for me, so i decided not to return it and save the hussle.

Very pleased with overall value and performance. There is some motion blur which bothers me but my wife does not notice. Stand is a bit wobbly but not so much where it would ever tip over and cause damage. No PIP which is a bit of a minus. Screen looks great and displays Xbox 360 great. Overall about an A-. This is definitely the best monitor and TV I have ever owned. It looks great on the outside, and the picture quality is exquisite. The PC cable is a bit short for my tastes, but that's really the only qualm I have with it. If you're looking for a monitor or television of this size, this is DEFINITELY the product to go with. Buy.com has a great deal going on for it too, so snatch it up while you can! Was this review helpful?

Is this a TV or a monitor? Not having wall mounts is totally unacceptable for a TV. It has a remote control, and is described as a TV... so it should have wall mounts. That is ridiculously bad. I don't know what Samsung was thinking. Was this review helpful?

This is a wonderful monitor/tv...something that I hoped would be true as I paid $600 without ever seeing one in action in a store. It seemed too good to be true, a 1080P set that also was a good monitor.
I have used it for long enough to be confident that it is simply the best tv I have ever owned, and my previous tv was a 720P large JVC, with a great picture. I haven't used it as a monitor yet, but as a tv it has a spectacular picture on high-def. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 What you see is What you get Sunday, August 17, 2008 srp from Pittsford, NY
It's Huge! I have been looking for a TV & Monitor combo that I can afford. This is an impressive display with no major problems. I have not used the HDTV in 1080p mode yet.
If you are in the market for a 24+ monitor, don't hesitate to buy this. Was this review helpful?
