The BUILT NY Laptop Sleeve was the very first sleeve that I have purchased for my laptop (a Dell Inspiron 1525). After I purchased the laptop, I happened to find the BUILT NY sleeve on buy.com at the promotional price of $14.99. Knowing how much sleeves go for retail, I immediately picked one up. Upon delivery, the sleeve was very sleek, stylish and it seemed sturdy. The hourglass shape is unique, but that only makes the product even cooler. My only gripe (and it's a substantial one) is that this sleeve is supposed to fit 13"-15.4" laptops. That didn't seem right. My Dell has a 15.4" screen, and I had to labor to get it into the sleeve. While the disclaimer does state that the sleeve fits "most" 15.4" screened laptops, I was dismayed to see that mine barely fit. It really is a tight fit (the two zippers can't zip up together), but then again that's the point of a protective sleeve isn't it? I've gotten accustomed to the fact that it's such a snug fit, but I feel that the sleeve is sturdy enough to protect my laptop and absorb shocks. You may be able to find better alternatives elsewhere on the internet, but the BUILT NY sleeve isn't a bad one to have! Was this review helpful?
