HD personal video recorder (PVR): The TV Wonder™ 650 series of HD PVRs are loaded with the very latest in digital TV technologies. Schedule, watch and record analog TV, “free-to-air” HDTV, unencrypted digital Clear-QAM cable TV and FM stations. You can also watch the latest DVD titles, author your own DVD, or convert your recorded TV shows to take with you on your portable media player.

Enhanced video quality: Features such as advanced 3D comb filter, noise reduction, automatic color control, and edge enhancement produce brilliant, sharp video that rivals high-end consumer television sets.

Easy to use: ATI Catalyst™ Media Center is the 3D interface that makes it easy to access the vast array of features on the ATI TV Wonder 650 series. Large, bright buttons and the fully integrated Electronic Program Guide make for a friendly, intuitive interface.

I have a lot of computer experience, and felt this was a good product. I have had this for about a year and had converted many videos to DVD. I don't use this to watch TV, but did try out the functionality which worked fine. There are other devices thatare a bit cheaper but have limited use. If you just want something cheaper to convert videos then go that way. When i buy a product (got this for $99 unadvertised sale) it is worth the extra money. The other reason i got this versus a video card, is thati can use this on not just one computer or laptop. A video card is a bit of a hassle to install and remove if you just want to use it on another comuter, plus a laptop is out of the question. With this product you also have HD capability which is good forfuture technology. I use this on vista and had no problem.
