5 of 5 What a value Monday, September 08, 2008
Beezy from Fort Lauderdale, FL

For the price I got them for from buy.com you would probably get a 3-port switch from other websites. I trust Impact Accoustics as I've been using their surge protector for quite some time now. The supplied HDMI cables work perfectly, and with 3 of them I can pretty much handle any HDMI-compatible component on my PCTV combo. All in all, it's a great buy.

2 of 5 Not good Thursday, January 31, 2008

Price is relatively cheap but it takes long time for the picture to display when you switch from one to another port. Sometimes upto 3-5 minutes. Also there is no audio support.

4 of 5 Works fine except with DirecTV HR10 Wednesday, December 26, 2007
Don M from Jupiter, FL
I recently bought this 5-port HDMI selector when it cost only $79.95 (and received six cables instead of only 3) and installed it along with the Impact Acoustics A/V Selector in order to switch optical TosLink connections along with the HDMI signal to the DVI input of my Samsung DLP TV. I wish there were an HDMI selector that handled TosLink and L/R analog stereo too, but were not expensive, like Key Digital's KD-HDMI4X1 at $625. This device works fine, except for two things: 1) The remote codes for this unit and the A/V switch overlap somewhat so that I have to select each in the correct order, 2) When the DirecTV HR10 satellite receiver restarts, it now has a problem with the HDMI connection and fails to initialize completely. Temporarily unplugging the HDMI output from the HR10 resolves the issue, but is a nuisance. I have not yet seen that problem with my newer HR20 DirecTV receiver.

5 of 5 Have to have if out of HDMI ports Sunday, December 23, 2007
Electronic/Computer Geek from St. Paul, MN
I bought this box after reading a couple of reviews, as I needed a way to switch my two HDMI connections (DirecTV HD DVR and Sony HDMI DVD Player). My components are in a side wall cabinet, and I only have one HDMI cable running through the wall to the TV. My receiver doesn't do HDMI, so this fit my needs beautifully. It works with my Logitech Harmony, and the image quality looks as good as a direct connection to my satellite receiver. Definitely a must have if you need a switcher that is low cost and still performs well!

5 of 5 Affordably expand the HDMI input capabilities of y Tuesday, December 04, 2007
A Customer from Carlstadt, NJ
Digital Cable Tuner, DVD player, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, TiVo, Satellite Tuner, etc. All have HDMI outputs. Your HDTV? How many inputs? One? Maybe two? At most three. If you have multiple pieces of equipment and want to quickly and easily connect them all to your HDTV using the HDMI connection then this switcher could very easily and affordably solve a problem for you. My HDTV has two composite video inputs, two component video inputs and one HDMI. Using this piece of gear you can expand your single HDMI input by 5. Simply connect all your gear to this selector switch and then the selector switch to your HDTV and you're in business. Its so easy the unit doesn't even come with instructions. The remote is very tiny and could be easily misplaced. It does however allow direct access to each input rather than cycling through 1-5.
