This is a great network audio player. The controller is great and a pleasure to use. The resolution and screen size are perfect for it's purpose. The buttons have a good solid feel to them and are quite responsive.

Prior to a duet, I purchased the SqueezeBox V3 from slim devices (almost 2 years ago). The duet sounds just as good and performs just as well. I am quite happy.

In the near future I will likely purchase another receiver for another room.

The best feature of the product is the software.It is actively maintained, updated, enhanced, and improved. It is open source, so the community makes many useful contributions as well.

You can use any OS you choose - Windows, Linux, Mac, etc. If you are like most people, you can just download theWindows version and install it on your Windows PC. As a matter of fact, you can do this before you purchase the product to test out the functionality. There is something called SoftSqueeze that will emulate a squeezebox player to give you a feel for how the device works.

Almost any audio format is supported - flac, mp3, ape, aac, etc. Logitech pays attention to the details - all playback (including mp3 files that are encoded with gapless information) is gapless. So albums like Abbey Road or Dark Side of the Moon play the way they did on the original CDs - with smooth transitions between the tracks.

Installation gets a star subtracted only because I ran into some setup issues with the duet which I'm pretty certain were due to my network setup. Butonce I worked it out, I found the product amazing to use.

Finally, I have a convenient way to access my entire music collection which has mostly been stored away over the last decade. Now, I have 1000s of songs at my fingertips that can be navigated in a multitude of ways. I also am a big fan of the internet radio streams. I was getting extremely fatigued of the limited AM radio selections that I had available at bed time. One of the radical, leftist hosts here in San Francisco was my inspiration for researching this product. I highly recommend this product.

While Sirius Radio is fully supported, XM Radio only works with a 3rd party add-in. The add-in does not work well with the handset. Otherwise, the unit installed without issue and I'm enjoying a very wide selection of services and music throughout by home. It's one of the best purchases I've made in a while!
