SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player 8GB - Silver - SDMX14R-008GS-A70 - Hot New Product!

As a longtime and satisfied user of a Sandisk M260 MP3 Player, I decided it was time to upgrade to a unit with more memory and a video screen. The new Sandisk FUZE offered the perfect upgrade. It's very small, easy to use, has 8GB which is more than enough for me, 20 hour battery life (haven't tested that claim yet) and useful features. My favorite feature, which is carried over from my older unit, is the graphic equalizer. Depending on whether I'm on a plane or not I use different earplugs that have very different sound profiles. A quick adjustment with the equalizer keeps both sounding great. The included earplugs are very good too. The FUZE is a less expensive alternative to the Nano with the advantage of not being an Apple product. I highly recommend the FUZE and would buy it again.

I bought 8Gb version. Value- very good compared to similar storage space on ipod and others (but still feel mp3 players in general are overpriced) Performance- is excellent except when recording it creates the files in WAVE format which uses a LOT of memory. I'd give it a 5 if I could change it to create the recordings in MP3. Ease of use - 5 - very easy to use, great feel for materials used, fit/finish, etc - sleek looking, light weight and very compact. Overall - very satisfied b/c it is one of few that has FM radio on it AND voice or FM recording. These added features make the value even better. Only thing it is missing is a line-in input jack to record from a sound system (I use it to record seminars and a line -in would provide better sound quality on recordings than the built in microphone) Also the SDHC card slot to expand memory is a great feature to easily and rather inexpensively (up to) double the memory size.
