Ordered the RAM for my Macbook Pro and one chip was defective out of the box. Buy.com was good about returns for defective products, but I missed out on my rebate because it expired while my return was being processed... I did receive a replacement and the replacement worked. I guess I should have been more cautious with buying RAM at such a cheap price, but it ended up to be a good value in the end. There are a few other review that mentioned that some chip are defective so be aware. Also don't throw away ANYTHING shipped with the RAM or send in the UPC until you test the chips, otherwise returns may not be possible. Was this review helpful?

Make sure your computer takes DDR2 ram and not DDR1 like mine! Open the ram slot and it will tell you what kind it takes. I gave all 5's because it was my fault and not OCZ's. Was this review helpful?

The memory was easy to install and was recognized by my HP notebook right away. This is a great value though, it takes the standard long time to receive the rebate. My Vista laptop runs faster and smoother even though it can't use all 4GBs of memory. Was this review helpful?

Very very pleased with the decision I took to buy this memory module for my ACER ASPIRE 9300 laptop. My original had 1GB and my system would walk like a turtle with Visual Studio and Internet Explorer running. Now I can play DVD , firefox and image editing software along with it with no problem. One stick was dead on arrival. Emailed buy.com for rma but they needed original upc. Rebate needed orignal upc so I Rma'd to ocz. Received replacement memory. One stick was dead. Rma'd to ocz again. Waiting for 3rd memory, when I finally get both sticks in package to work I guess I will discover if it even works in my computer. Their memory configurator doesn't cover Toshiba a215 series but tech support thinks it should work. Ocz stick will not pass extended memtest when used with factory memory but one ocz by itself will. One stick ocz is slower than 2 sticks factory 512.I hope 2 sticks of 2gb dual channel is faster. Was this review helpful?

Hey, it's memory...what's to say, either it works or it doesn't. This product works great in my Dell Vostro 1400; I've had no problems in the 2 weeks I've been using it. This memory is a good performer, although you can get higher performance / lower CAS memory -- but definately not for this price.
