2 of 5 Errr...OK Wednesday, August 13, 2008
A Gamer from Oakland, Ca

This sensor bar works most of the time. Seems kinda flaky when you play Wii Golf where it won't recognize your swing motions more often than not. The bar that comes with the Wii is superior.

1 of 5 Broken after 3 plays Monday, August 11, 2008
akmathes from Houston, TX
It worked the first few times I used it, but (1) was very sensitive to ambient light in the room (it worked best in a very dark room) and (2) was very shaky - when I pointed it at the screen and held it still, the icon on the screen shaked quite a bit. No problems like this with the original wired version that came with the Wii. Then it completely quit working after only using it 3 times; new batteries didn't help. Not recommended.

3 of 5 Not the best design Friday, August 08, 2008
A Gamer from Appleton, WI
When I set this up it connected to the Wii without issue, which was great. I did have to crank up the sensitivity on the Wii for it work better. There are a couple of design issues that I didn't like. There is a switch on the bottom for controlling how it should be powered that has three positions. 1-On until you turn it off, 2-On for two hours after you turn it on and 3-On for 1 hour after you turn it on. This seems a little strange because what if I'm playing a game and my 1 or 2 hours is up. I lose control and screw up my game. The other issue I have is that there is no visual indication of on or off. So I never know if I turned it off or not.

4 of 5 Great for the price Friday, August 08, 2008
positizzly88 from SF SD
The bar was very easy to setup and my Wii picked up its presence right away. I have only used it to play SuperSmash Brothers so far but it seemed to work just fine for that. I noticed the "hand" of the remote would go off screen and have difficulty seeing the remote at first but after a minute or two the signal seemed strong again. Overall not a bad product for the $9.99 I paid for it.

2 of 5 It works...sometimes Friday, August 08, 2008
A Gamer from Fremont, CA
It works but with inconsistent results. When playing some of the basic games on Wii Play, one of the remotes seemed to work without much problem, but the other would not register at times and be quite shaky at others. I didn't experience these same issues with the wired bar. I'd look for something else.

3 of 5 It works if you're about 8 ft or less away Friday, August 08, 2008
Marcus from Mount Vernon, OH
I purchased this because the distance between my TV and the Wii was a 30 ft cable run, but physically only 6 ft away from each other. For some games where aiming is a must, I found it frustrating because where I stand to play is farther away than 8 ft, and my pointer jumped around constantly. I played at my sister's house where she has the wired Wii Bar and I noticed it worked so much better. I decided to try another Wireless Wii Remote bar and it has so far worked just about as good as the wired one. I recommend this if where you play is shorter than 10 ft from the TV. Otherwise, I would recommend the Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar instead.

1 of 5 Won't work on large TVs Friday, August 08, 2008
john from Chesapeake, VA
Unit was easy to setup and use. It just will not work if the sensor is too high. My big screen TV is 5ft tall, when setting on the couch 10 ft away, the sensor bar would not work for more than 5 seconds at a time. Standing it worked fine at this distance. Since it shows as not returnable on my buy.com account, I threw it away. Don't waste your money if the bar is going to be higher than the sensors.

1 of 5 Died in the first week Friday, August 08, 2008
A Gamer from Dallas, TX
Despite the bad reviews I bought this hoping that everyone else received a bad piece. I was wrong! This sensor bar worked great when I got it. I played with it for few days in a raw and everything was smooth. One fine day it just stopped working. Tried replacing fresh batteries but still dead. I can't even return it since my wife threw away the box!

2 of 5 Works No More Than 8 Feet Away Tuesday, August 05, 2008
Bob from Pittsburgh, PA
Seeing that this sensor had an operational distance of 20 feet, I thought that I had found a great solution to the sensor wire. The sensor was easy to set up. No issues there. The sensor does operate well within 8 feet of the sensor. Greater than 8 feet renders the Wii-mote useless. I have since gone back to the wired sensor bar. FYI the description above indicates that this uses a 9V battery. My unit uses 2 AA batteries. I would not recommend this product.

2 of 5 not what i was expecting Monday, August 04, 2008
robhabash from Wichita, Ks
When i got this and read through the directions I had no idea i was going to have to push the on off button evertime i want to play so i decided it was too much of a hassle and threw it in a drawer. I realize its probably to save battery life, But I thot it was going to be an always on and only use the battery while it was active or something, So i will stick with my wired bar for now. thanks, but no thanks

5 of 5 WII wireless sensor bar Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Jean from Quincy, Illinois
This product is excellent, my children play the WII severaal times a day and the sensor bar has been great, we have not had any problems. The sensor bar picks up the remotes better than the wired sensor bar.
