4 of 5 Better than a mother-in-law... Wednesday, November 26, 2008 JP from Tisbury, MA
While the biggest glitch is that you have to hold the "on" button for about 10 seconds for it to fire up, the unit was well worth the price. The volume is a bit low, but you can use an AUX jack to play it through your sound system. Additionally, the touch screen needs a bit more pressure than an i-Phone or other touch screen GPS units I have used in the past. The routes chosen are not always the best, as I have found navigating through the boroughs of NYC, but for the tourist, plenty of landmark/ points of interest are listed/ displayed on the unit. For the size, price, and features, I would recommend this unit as a "starter" GPS unit that will take you where you want to go. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 OK system Monday, November 24, 2008 A Customer from Ambler, PA
Navigon 5100 is OK system.
Positive things: recalculates route fast, provides traffic updates, good price.
Negative things: does not turn off automatically (as other systems after 15 min of inactivity), must set up "Optimal" setting manually (not defaulted to it)in order to have good directions.
It is OK to buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Most Magnificent GPS Wednesday, November 19, 2008 A Customer from Parsippany, NJ
Navigon 5100 guides you where you want to go.
It reminds you of your wedding anniversary, picks your son after soccer practices, and warns you if neighbor’s kid is allergic to peanuts.

5 of 5 Don't miss this offer Saturday, November 01, 2008 Shahab from Lawrence, KS
Don't miss this deal. This thing is awesome. Works perfectly. No problems whatsoever. Live traffic feature is awesome. Has many points of interest and the directions are easy to follow and are very efficient. The price is just too low for a thing like this. Mine was refurbished but it is almost new. I cant tell the difference. Was this review helpful?
