1 of 5 Not worth the money Thursday, January 08, 2009 A Customer from Tucson, AZ
Purchased this at discount and still not worth the cost. User's guide says NOTHING about how to load music on the device. I've had many other players so thought I'd just drag and drop...nope, no dice. Out of folders, inside folders, mp3, wma, etc,etc...display still reads 'No File'. There are MUCH better budget players available; Sandisk Clip for one. I have 3 and counting!!! Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Broke after 2 hours of use Monday, December 29, 2008 chucketal from Rochester, NY
As people have noted, there is no manual. Takes a few mins to figure out the navigation and tools. Decent sound and the headphones are not as hideous as you would suspect. My 2GB managed to only only 1 GB. Once loaded, it stopped working after about 2 hours, so perhaps reliability is an issue. If it works, it's a good value. If it doesn't, well you shoulda bought an iPod. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 So Far, So Good Wednesday, December 03, 2008 A Customer from Iowa City, IA
Bought this MP3 for my daughter who is 6 years old. So far we are happy with the purchase, especially the price. Did not want to invest much money for a 6 year old, as they can be pretty rough on things, but it's held up well so far. The unit is easy for her to operate after some coaching, I just wish it came with some instructions, but it didn't take too long to figure out all the features and how to download songs. 5 of 5 Cute little MP3 Player... Thursday, September 25, 2008 JerriC from Columbus, OH
I really love this little 2G MP3 player...especially for the price. It’s a good size and really easy to load music onto. You just plug it right into your USB port and drag/drop songs directly from Windows Explorer.
Programming the player isn’t very intuitive, however. But it’s not rocket science. I was able to figure out how to personalize it rather quickly (even without a manual). I do love the fact that the ‘fast forward’ button is not a button at all, it’s a lever. This makes flipping through songs while driving very convenient.
** Please note that this player takes 1 AAA battery, but it doesn’t last very long…a few hours at most. So rechargeable batteries are highly recommended. ** Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 NEAT PRODUCT Tuesday, September 23, 2008 mofromdc from myrtle beach, sc
I've had this item for a couple of weeks and so far it works just great. I use it mainly when I'm working outside in the yard and the size of the unit makes it very easy to stick in my pocket. Even with the noise from the lawnmower I can easily listen to my music. I think this product is a great value for the price. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Bulkier than it looks 4 x 1.2 x 3/4 inches Friday, September 05, 2008 A Customer from Austin, TX
The device is not as slick or sturdy as the picture might make it seem.
The body is made out of cheap plastic with a cheap paint job.
The size of the device is 4inches long, 1.2 inches wide, and 3/4 inches thick.
No manual comes with it, therefore there's a little figuring out; if you haven't used an MP3 player before then it will probably be difficult to figure out.
Pros: Good sound. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Does not match specifications. Friday, August 22, 2008 A Customer from San Jose CA
Overall MP3 player is satisfactory. But as mentioned on the web site the its battery is not rechargable. It comes with single AAA battery. It is is easy to use. I liked the track shifting lever. It is little bit bigger than other players available. It have one more disadvantage that it can not play the .rm files. It is very good with MP3 files. And works great with good quality head phones and not with the provided with the player.
Over all I am satisfied with the performance. Just some of the specification does not match with the actual product.
It looks gr8 with the color itz wearing. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 My First MP3 Player---Superb! Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Sid Moore from Comanche, TX
Having never used an MP3 player before this one, I had a few questions about how it functioned and e-mailed Centon Customer Service. I received a prompt reply that was comprehensive and very thorough, including several links to additional information that proved very helpful. I was impressed.
I was also impressed with the rapid shipment of my purchase by Buy.com. They have always been almost inhumanly fast in their shipments and never a complaint (from me).
As for the Centon MP3 player, I couldn't be happier. The sound is awesome and the LCD display shows each song's complete stats in streaming fashion, even the name of the album info. In fact, what I'm writing goes for my wife, as well, since I purchased two of these little gems at the same time. One for her and one for myself. We are both delighted. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good basic player Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Rudy from Orem UT
Despite what the documentation says, there is not a way to adjust the playback speed on this player, which was the main reason I was interested in it initially. (Some audio books can be listened to at 1.5x or twice the speed, easily-- but not with this device.) The price is right and the fact that it uses a standard (AAA) battery is also a plus, for me. Interface/menu system (single front button, with side toggle-and-push button for most menu functions) takes a little getting used to, but is pretty straightforward. Win XP auto-detects the player (as generic storage device) and works smoothly; folder organization, ordered by filename, all as you'd expect. No complaints, really-- it's a good little product for the price. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 nice sound quality, but no manual for the product Saturday, July 19, 2008 A Customer from Syracue, UT
It has nice sound quality. Also, you can organize songs in folders. The biggest "con"s would be the fact that it's not user friendly. I've had a couple of mp3 players, so I could figure out most of its functions pretty easily, but for the first time mp3 buyer, it might be tough to use this product. There is no instruction comes with it. You have to buy AAA batteries as you go because it doesn't use a rechargeable battery. Overall, I got what I paid for. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great for the Price Friday, July 11, 2008 UncleDave from Houston, Texas
If you don't expect too much out of this player you won't be dissapointed. You can't even get a 2GB Flash Drive at Best Buy for this price, so even if you're not impressed with the MP3, you can use it as a Flash Drive and it's stil a good deal. I use it at work as I broke my I-Pod and don't have enough $ to replace it yet. Great gift for kids too, I'm getting two more now for early XMAS Gifts. Was this review helpful?
