Peerless Universal Flat Wall Mount for 23" - 46" Flat Panel Screens - Black - SF640

This is a good basic wall mount kit for an LCD TV. I was able to successfully wall mount my 32" LCD TV without any issues. Got it on sale for not much money so that was the best "feature." Biggest PITA is the screw to secure the TV to the wall once you "hang" it on the mount. Its very awkward to get to the hex head to secure it, and the included long hex wrench only allows 1/2 turn max at a time... then must find the hex head with the wrench again. I decided not to secure the TV with this, as I need to get to the connections on the back of the TV frequently.

I used this mount to hang a 37" lcd, the installation was simple(took about 45 minutes) and the mount is very sturdy. The TV is virtually flat against the wall and looks great. This is a great deal for anybody looking for a flat wall mount.

This was a nice wall mount, easy to install, and would have been perfect except for one problem. It is designed for studs that are 16 inches apart. The studs in my home are 24 inches apart and so I could only screw the heavy duty mounting screws into one stud. I had to buy some sheet rock anchors for the other side. Thankfully my TV only weighs 26 pounds and so the anchors are fine. If you have a heavier TV and 24 inch centers on your wall studs you should look for a different mount.

It's a perfect mount. Very sturdy, and I installed it in about 30 minutes. They should charge more for it, so you won't think it's a cheap knock-off. It's very well-made, and equal to those $100 mounts you see in Walmart or BestBuy.

Works well if you mount at height you are viewing. I had to place spacers to give me a forward tilt so I could view while in a chair. I mounted it higher on the wall to match cabinet height.

I have been very pleased with my wall mount. I use it for our 37 inch Insignia LCD TV. I mounted it to two wood studs and the TV looks great up on the wall. I was able to slide the TV until it was perfectly centered.

Literally took me only 5 minutes to install this. It comes with extra accessories so you have everything you could need to attach to your tv. Very strong and sturdy. I only wish that the fastening screws to hold it in place were on the sides. Overall, a great product and definitely worth it.

It works and fit perfectly in my 32” Sony Bravia. The included TV screws fit perfectly and I used the included spacers since Sony recommends +/- 2.5” clear space from the wall. The construction and quality material of the mount is very good (UL certification). I’m very happy with it. Very easy installation and perfectly packaged!. The only annoying part is the final 2 screws to secure the TV to the mount rack. Like other people said is kind of difficult to reach the screws with the long hex key included. But these screws is if you want to secure the TV from removal of the track only, but if you just want “hang” the TV you don’t need to add these screws, these have nothing to do with the TV hanging form the wall. The best part: The price, I did a lot of research on line and in stores and this is the best product for the price ($35!! on April 2008). I wouldn’t pay 299.99 for the Sony SU-WL 500 for $299.99 that Sony recommends!! almost half of the TV price!!!

I installed this TV mount myself with no help from my husband! The screws provided were a little long, so I used different screws. The design is easy to hook the TV onto the support brackets, and it is very close to flush against the wall.

Just like hanging a picture. Well not really, but fairly strait forward. I had it up in about 45 minutes (from opening box to turning on the 37" TV). Better than the $100+ at Wal-Mart. The only probem is with the hex screws to secure the TV to the wall frame. They can only be installed using the hex key included with the wall mount and the key will not allow you to make a complete rotation so you have to pull it out, rotate and reinsert each half-turn. Absolutely unnecessary.

Not the best mount, you will likely run into problems if you want to mount a 42" or larger screen as I did. The dimension just barely cover my TV. However, the hardware package only include screw size up to 6 mm. My TV uses 8 mm screws. I had to go to lowes to buy the screw then enlarge the mounting holes to accept the larger screws which is not an easy task if you do not have the right tools. If I have to do it again i would spend the extra bucks for a PDR mount.

I gotthis for my 37' Magnavox. It would have worked, however note that the plate you mount to the wall is only 19" wide. If you are looking to center your TV, pick the spot that would be the center of the TV and make sure you have 2 studs within 8 inches of that center line. I had to return this one and get the next model up which has a longer mounting plate. Once I got that, I couldn't be happer with the result or the ease of installation. Great value either way.

Bought this thinking it would work for the Vizio VX37L and it definitely did not fit. I made it work with a trip to Home Depot for the proper screws and had to cut the bracket in half. It's a crazy rig job but it works now and looks good. Just do not make the mistake I made and assume universal means it will work for ur specific tv!

My local big box store tried to sell me this exact same unit for $149. I thought I would get online and find it for $100 if I was lucky. To my surprise, buy.com had this for less than $40 after tax and shipping. This wall mount is easy to use and holds my 37" tv easily.

This mount was relatively easy to install with one problem. There are screws on the bottom to hold the tv on the mount. You have to reach up underneath the tv and screw these in with a very long Allen wrench. This is not an easy task as there is very little clearance and it is hard to see. My son came up with a good idea, getting longer screws at the hardware store so you don't have to reach up so far. Haven't tried that yet. Otherwise it is a good product, supports tv very close to wall. And the price is right!

i bought this over the christmas break.. nice mount.. i ordered it on monday and it got in by friday.. and christmas was on tuesday.. shipping was extremely fast.. mounted it on wall on a 32 inch lcd.. very sturdy.. easy install.. i did it myself.. for the price i extremely recomend and will be sure to look for this one in the future when i get my other lcd..

This unit is very easy to install and understand. If you're handy enough to find a couple of studs in your wall and drill some holes, you can install this yourself. It fits close to the wall so you need to plug in all of your cables before hanging the TV, else you won't be able to access the rear of the TV. Also note; there are two hex screws that you tighten to secure the TV to the wall bracket. The hex wrench provided is plently long, but you can only turn it 1/2 a turn at a time due to the wall. I sawed the L off of the wrench and insterted the lenghty portion into my cordless drill. Makes for very fast and easy removal of the TV when you have another unit to connect to the TV. I can't believe the appliance stores want upwards of $200 for the same solution!!

I just received this wall mount today, and took me almost no time to set it up. I was surprised how simple the task to setup the whole wall mount. <br><Br> It allows you to slightly adjust horizontal and vertical mount. It also provides plenty of screws for various TV models. I will highly recommend this product to others.

Not bad for the price. This would not accomodate my 32" Vizio LCD out of the box. The mounting kit only supports up to a 6mm hole/bolt. I had to drill out the brackets and buy the 8mm bolts ($2.50)locally. Other than that it is ok.

While this item represents a real bargain ($35 shipped), I was disappointed to find that the VESA holes on my 37" Philips LCD TV were 29" apart, and the brackets would only spread to 19" due to the size of the wall bracket. Buy.com never responded to my request for an RMA on this item :-( Aside from that, the installation was easy and straight-forward, and I will likely end up using this for a slightly smaller set (32")

Great product, especially for the price. I think it will be almost impossible for someone to steal my TV off the wall. If you are second guessing yourself quit and just buy it.

Comes with all the necessary hardware and was simple to install. Thinking I will buy another, but the model with the 3 openings so wiring can run directly to the center (something to think about before buying).

This mount was very easy to install. I did check the manufacturer's website to make sure my tv was listed. It only took about 10 minutes to mount the bracket on the wall and then attach the tv. I would certainly recommend this product, even without the $35 price tag.

This mount worked great for my 45" Sharp Aquos and my 22" Westinghouse. It keeps the monitor very securely mounted to a wall, so in addition to the fact that it is nearly impossible to steal (unless a thief somehow has access to the unusually long Allen wrench that comes with it) it works very well in the cabin of a boat (that's where I put the Westinghouse). This mount should fit any monitor unless the monitor is too big for it. It comes with like a zillion different bolts to fit into a wide range of monitors, so if on some off chance there are no bolts that fit your monitor, I'd sooner blame the manufacturer of the monitor than the makers of this mount. Rather than give it a review of 1 for that reason, just go to home depot and buy the correct bolts - they'll probably only cost about a dollar.

This Peerless Flat Wall Mount is a very sturdy product, simple design but works perfectly on your wall. The only thing to slow you down a little is to locate middle points of studs for the supplies crews (4 EA) on your wall, leveled then drill 4- pilot holes and attach the wall plate to the wall. Next attach the 2 vertical bars w/hooks (pointed down)on the 2- sides of the back of TV using also 4 bolts (supplied) then hang your tv up, tighten the bottom crews w/a supplied allen wrench (long), I found it a litle difficult using the wrench due to space limitted behind the tv and a long crews but in my opinion I don't need this feature at all. As a universial kit, you have plenty of supplied bolts and crews for a various sizes of tv', my 32" Sylvania looks beautifully on the wall in a bedroom, Instructions is clear enough.It's a very solid & a valued product for a little cost. Hightly recommended.

Heavy-duty construction, excellent quality, all the hardware you need for many models. I only had to use four screws for my Toshiba; but spacers, washers, etc are included along with a listing of what you need to use by TV brand/size/model#. Detailed instructions make installation easy. The hardest part (as always) is finding studs behind the drywall!

When you think about what this product really is - heavy guage sheet metal pieces cut to the size and shape needed to hold your TV to the wall - the rest of the manufacturers are really just gouging the public and reaping outrageous profits. Not so here...this wall mount contains detailed instructions, several screw types and sizes so you can mount nearly any TV available today. All of that at a price that doesn't make you feel like you got ripped off. Couple that with Buy.com's great service, and you have THE BEST OPTION TO MOUNT YOUR TV.

Product is great! You can't beat the price! I installed myself in less than an hour. Instructions are exact. do not pay over $100 for any other wall mount! You will not go wrong with this bad boy. Installs right into the beams. Once fully fixed into wall, I can literally do pull ups on this thing. that's how strong it is. Be careful, if you have termites that you don't know about, and the beams are rotted. However, that's no fault of the product. I highly recommend this or any Peerless on Buy.com to anyone that has a flat screen and wants to save space in their room.

All I needed to install the Flat Wall Mount was (1) a stud finder, (2)a cordless drill, (3) a level, and (4) a standard drill bit. The rest of the components (screws, washers, etc.) came with the wall mount box. I found the studs, predrilled the 4 holes and had the mount on the wall with my 32 inch Toshiba Regza LCD TV, within five minutes of beginning the whole process. Could not be simpler or easier. I looked around for the best deal and this mount seemed to fit bill. The TV and Mount have been on my wall for approximately two weeks and they seem to be holding up great. Good times, good times.
