I bought the T40's for my wife to use with the Finale Composition software. I did a lot of research and for the size you just can't beat these speakers. Excellent quality sound and surprisingly good volume. No hiss when you have the volume turned down. They are on the tall side but are quite slim. Was this review helpful?

I bought these speakers to use with playback of media on my 17" laptop. The onboard speakers of the laptop just did not have the proper amount of volume for movies, mp3's or music cds. These speakers solved that and also created spacial ambiance to media playback that the laptop just could not provide. In my opinion the only negatives are that they are a little overpriced, and the on/off switch is a very small one located on the top of the back of one speaker which means you can't see it to turn off unless you pick up the heavy speaker. So you actually have to feel around blindly for it to turn off. Also, these speakers do break up when the volume is cranked to maximum. Since I am using them with a laptop I would never really need to turn up the volume to max anyway. Was this review helpful?
