Aristo 2-drawer Entertainment Unit

We are thrilled with this piece! Delivery was fast and the assembly took me (a woman who enjoys assembly much more than my husband does--he's the tech guy) about 3 hours. All the pieces are clearly marked with little stickers and all the screws/assembly parts are clearly numbered in their own bags making assembly much easier. The piece is strong and sturdy, the joints are well-engineered and the overall look is much richer than the cost. The piece is a deep espresso brown and looks great with our new flat-screen tv. There is room for all our components and some storage for cds and tapes. The only thing I plan to change is the knobs which look fine, but not as rich as the piece. I would highly recommend this piece. to anyone.

We bought the Aristo entertainment unit about 8 months ago and we were very glad to have gotten it. BUT, once the weather got cold and very dry this month (November in NJ), one morning we noticed that the top part of the furniture split, about 6 inches-- thin, but a very noticeable split, like a crack. It might have something to do with the fact that it's made from rubberwood, type of wood from a tropical climate from Southeast Asia and maybe the piece on our furniture was not acclimated thoroughly. We just have a small flat screen TV on the unit so it couldn't have been the weight of the tv. We are disappointed that now we would have to fix it, but we don't regret purchasing this piece of furniture. Assembling it was a bit difficult because of so many pieces, but the end result is solid, everything lines up, and looks great, especially considering it was not expensive. We also bought the console and that still looks perfect.

A nice looking piece and a real value for the money. Sleek and a wonderful deep espresso w/nice quality knobs. I had the Wakefield piece already in the same room and the two work very nicely together--I love it! Assembly seems to be the biggest reviewer complaint and though tedious it's not difficult. Hardware is of very good quality and comes in individual bags marked by letters to which the instructions refer. Hint: Remove only the needed pieces as you progress and you won't have problems. Also, there are two screws on the door hardware that adjust door levels, one for up/down and one for in/out.

We have been looking for a tv console for weeks now and this was by far the best for the money.Many that we looked at were not nearly as sturdy and twice the price. It did take us quite a while to put it together. But when we finished....WOW! I am thrilled with the purchase.

the doors are not perfectly level we even used washers to adjust the depth, still didn't help. We had 1 faulty hinge so had to wait for another to be mailed out. It's a good looking piece of furniture, it works out well for the price tag.
