4 of 5 It Does It's Job Tuesday, July 15, 2008
A Gamer from Horizon City, TX.

PROS: It does what it says it's sopposed to do. It switches easily between sources and comes with a handy remote. Also works well with audio as I have it connected to my home theater system.Remote control is very convenient. CONS: Very unattractive looking with all the HDMI cables. You'll want to hide this behind your TV. Luckily this little guy can be mounted on your wall.

5 of 5 Works great Wednesday, July 09, 2008
JH from Meredith, NH
I have this hooked up from a Dish Network receiver, Sony DVD home theater, and Canon HF10 camcorder to my Viewsonic TV. Switches perfectly among any of them with the button or by remote. The remote extender is nice since the switch is buried in the cabinet.

5 of 5 Inexpensive & works great! Friday, June 20, 2008
teck4u from California
I own 2 of these. One is hooked up to my LCD TV using a DVI to HDMI to my Motorola HD cable box and a HDMI cable to a DVD recorder. Switches back & forth easily. Video as well as audio are excellent. Plenty of room for a 3rd component using HDMI cables. Second one is hooked up to a LCD TV with a PS3 and a HDMI DVD player, no problems. Small enough to hide behind the TV and the IR sensor works with the remote included. Plug it in to ac power for better connection and less complications. Works great for the price.

1 of 5 No worth the money! Tuesday, May 13, 2008
A Gamer from Great Falls, MT
With our set up the item is worthless. Running a Direct TV box and a Playstation 3. Maybe 1 out of 10 times if I power every item in our AV setup down, switch the hd signal and power up the equipment I might get the swictch to work. Otherwise it is useless. Just as convenient to stand up, unplug the Direct TV receiver and plug the Playstation in. Too bad as I had high hopes for the switch. I bought it and figured it was worth the chance. Anyone want to buy a lightly used Tri-Tech switch?

5 of 5 Works with a little tweaking Wednesday, April 23, 2008
DP from Galesburg, IL
Worked with the HD player but no sound with TV. Experimented, and found if I turn to the HD channel hooked up through coax, and then change my setting to hdmi, everything works. Power it through USB.

5 of 5 Unreliable manufacturer Friday, April 04, 2008
jim from Evanston, Il
I bought 2 of these units. The units fails to reliably switch from PS3 back to any other HDMI sources (Ritech DVD w/1080i HDMI upsampling and Motorola HD/DVR cable converter box) plugged into the other 2 HDMI ports regardless of hookup sequence. I have contacted the manufacture over the past month via Three (3) detailed emails with absolutely no response.

1 of 5 Joytech Trilink HDMI switch Wednesday, March 19, 2008
jim from Evanston, Il
This unit fails its task. It will succesfully switch from Cable box HDMI out/and or DVD with HDMI out to PS-3 but will not switch back to cable box or dvd player outputs. Nor from DVD to cable box and back. The only successfull connection is when swithing to PS-3 making it incompatible with other HDMI devices. The cable must be pulled out and reconnected in order to regain signal comunication. Powering TV or cable box or DVD on and off will sometuimes re-establish signal but sometimes without audio. I have two units and both respond the same. I have sent 2 emails to the manufacturer with no response.

3 of 5 It's ok, not great. Sunday, March 16, 2008
A Gamer from Atlanta, GA
It works well with the PS3, but not with the Motorola HD cable box. When I switch to the cable box, I have to turn the cable box off and on to get a picture. There are also a few artifacts on the TV that aren't there when the TV is directly connected to the cable box.

This small electronic switch works flawlessly for me. I use the IR Extender and have had no problems with my Harmony remote.

5 of 5 Works just as desribed. Monday, March 10, 2008
Ray from Chicago, IL
I connected my PC using a DVI to HDMI cable and also my HD Dish Network Receiver using an HDMI male to male cable and have no problems with the picture or functionality at all! The USB power capability and the IR remote cable makes this switch that much more practical. Connecting the HDMI cables are a breeze. Very happy with this switch.

4 of 5 Works well most of the time Monday, February 25, 2008
A Gamer from Fresno, CA
For the price it is by far the best switcher you can buy. Every once in a while when switching between DVD, Cable, or Tivo it sometimes doesn't switch and gives me snow or no picture, but reselecting input solves it. Good Buy for the price! I think I may need 2 now!

Have this working with a TimeWarner DVR and a DVD Player, no problems and works great. Its small and comes with a IR extender so I have it mounted on the wall behind the tv.

1 of 5 Well, it's not a game so I gave all low ratings. Thursday, February 07, 2008
Wannabuya$35terd? from Irving, TX
I have Time Warner Cable and an XBox 360 that I needed at least two HDMI inputs for. The XBox360 worked fine with this switcher but the cable box would come up blank no matter which ports I swapped it to. So it's useless to me and now I see I am stuck with this useless $35 switcher that does nothing for me (I did not know they only had a 14-day return policy). I should have known that this thing was too inexpensive. It's like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I just bought a $35 terd.

5 of 5 Perfect minus one bug Tuesday, February 05, 2008
A Gamer from Bellingham, WA
I got this to switch between my computer and my xbox360 on my 1080P monitor. I tried to run the 360 through my receiver (the HD RGB component out) to DVI (via a RGB to DVI converter cable) to hdmi (via adaptor) and back to dvi (via cable adaptor). When that didn't work (RGB to dvi did work though...), I got the hdmi cable for the 360 which works perfectly (except it doesn't have the old display settings like it used to... just resolutions...). I'm not running audio through the switch so I don't know how that works, but the video is perfect through all three ports. My only complaint is that the HDMI-in ports are all so close together that, if you're using non-cable adaptors, you will only be able to fit two devices.

5 of 5 Simple and effective HDMI switch Monday, February 04, 2008
John from Plymouth, MN
This is a very small, inexpensive 3 port HDMI switch that works great! Easy to set up and quite flexible in that it can be powered via a spare USB port (like from the PS3) or via the provided power transformer. Comes with a nice little remote and remote IR sensor. Definitely a unit you want to hide away behind your TV or in your stereo cabinet in that once hooked up it has wires coming in and out from all three sides - would make for a very awkwardly positioned device if you were to leave it in plain view as there is very little that can be done to clean up all the cables.

5 of 5 works perfectly Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Minion from Scarborough Maine
someone said it wont carry sound. that is wrong. it will carry sound and works perfectly. For the price you can't beat it. I have a TV that only has one HDMI input and this makes it so my DVD,XBox, and DirectTV all works with one connection. I love it! (works good with a universal remote too )

2 of 5 Doesn't work with Directv HD DVR Plus Sunday, January 27, 2008
ddp.augie from DFW
Doesn't work with new Directv HD DVR Plus box. Audio cuts in and out and box sticks if it's plugged into this (won't change channel or turn off, etc.) Once I pull the HDMI cable out of this it's fine so I know its the Trilink switch. I unfortunately didn't get to installing it until after the 14 day return period (14 days from when they ship it!!!!...I'll never buy from buy.com again). Luckily Fry's sells this same thing, so I bought another and tried it and the second one does the same thing. I've now returned them both to Fry's. Too risky to bother trying.

5 of 5 Simple set up - works perfectly Friday, January 25, 2008
John from San Francisco, CA
I ordered this for my TV with only one HDMI port to hook up a PC (via DVI-HDMI) and a HD-DVD player. The usb power wasn't going to be of much use for me- until I realized my TV has a powered USB port for "service" (which goes otherwise unused) and actually is better than a wall plug because it powers down when the TV is off. The switch works easily as described, with either a push-button on the top of the unit or the remote control - and also works flawlessly with the Logitech Harmony remotes. I haven't had any of the audio switching problems that others have described, this just works plain and simple. The only downside that I've recognized is that this unit does not have a power switch. I'm hesitant to leave it powered on 24/7 because of its small size (downright tiny) - though even with it powered on I don't feel any heat coming from it. The IR extender is nice to make sure that the remote signal is received. Overall this is a perfect product and one of the best accessories I could have bought for my home theater set-up. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone over the more expensive switches at places like Best Buy.

3 of 5 just so so.... Monday, January 21, 2008
Casey from Bellevue, WA
Yes, I read all the reviews prior to buying this but it was so much cheaper than competitive products. All the pros and cons are covered in previous reviews. I am using it to switch Comcast cable box/dvr and dvd player into a single HDMI input on my Sony Bravia LCD TV. I, too, am experiencing difficulty switching audio with the unit. not sure why it happens but is frustrating. have to turn the units off and on, pain in the butt with the Comcast box because if you unplug it, it takes 15-20 min to reboot with the channel guide.

2 of 5 Probs with Audio Friday, January 18, 2008
A Gamer from Florida
I, like others, am having autdio switching problems. I have to turn the different devices I'm using on and off to get the audio to work no matter which input I use. You are better off spending $10-15 more for a better switcher, this one is frustrating!
