Jensen 7" Multimedia In-Dash Video

Features

Mobile media center: A fully-motorized 7" screen displays DVD movies in stunning clarity. Touch screen navigation makes it easier than ever to browse the multimedia functions, and an auto-dimmer makes it easy to see in any light. There is also a swivel so you can change the viewing angle.

Peak power: This in-dash player has enough juice to power a modest system, but if you want to add audio components like subwoofers, you should get an amplifier.

iPod and XMradio ready: You've got more audio options than ever before. Plug your XM radio receiver into the auxiliary input, or use Jensen's Jlink adapter (sold separately) to hook up your iPod. You can also receive XM radio with a subscription and a tuner (sold separately).

Video input: Hook up an additional video source, like a TV tuner or a back-up camera and view it on the 7" screen.

Massively compatible: The VM9412 can play audio and video in most of today's most popular formats, including DVD, DVD-R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, SVCD and JPEG.

Multizone: The VM9412 is capable of sending two different audio signals to the front and back of the car. That means that you can listen to XM radio or a CD while your kids listen to the radio in the back seat.*

Adjustable EQ: An internal audio processor allows you to adjust bass and treble center frequencies, bass Q and subwoofer crossover points.

Full-size wireless remote: Control the unit's audio features without taking your eyes off the road.

Great DVD/Stereo System

I had Circuit City install the Jensen VM9312 a few weeks ago and then upgraded to this system because I wanted multizone ability. (I marked ease of installation at a 3 because I did not install it myself). This stereo actually sounds better than the VM9312 and is very easy to use. I love that I can play my ipod, sattelite radio or regular broadcast radio in the front and my son can watch a movie in the backseat with or without headphones on. It is also nice that the backseat area can also play music without having to listen to the same music as the front.

I do wish that it was not illegal to have the DVD player running the front while driving but can understand the reasoning for it. I also wish when in the multizone mode, the dvd sound would play through the rear speakers and not just the monitor. The front music still plays in the backseat area even with the multizone on.

The Circuit City tech was very helpful and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to have them install it. It took them over7hours to install everything along with a couple more trips to get everything the way I wanted it but that was because of the difficulty of my vehicle. I would not install this stereo yourself unless you know what you are doing.

If you do buy this stereo be sure to get the extended warranty because of the touchscreen! If something does go wrong and you have the extended warranty the stereo will be replaced with the newest Jensen DVD stereo out there (according to the tech).

I could not believe the price of this system either. It is a great deal. I called my dealer to find out how much it would cost to have them install the factory DVD player for my vehicle and they told me it would be well over $1,000. This system with installation was well under$1,000!

Overall I would recommend this stereo to anyone who has children and uses their car alot. I have a Pontiac Torrent and it works great in there. You do not need a van or large SUV to use a DVD/Stereo player.

this one of the best cd players you can buy it makes your speakers sound like you got a studio in your car you got to buy this cd player trust me u wont regret it
