The AVerTVHD Combo PCI Express is a combination World Wide Analog and High-Definition
TV receiver module. Easily watch analog or over-the-air HDTV or Unencrypted
"clear" QAM (Digital Cable) in MPEG-2 video your PC. It can be used
to record TV programs in high quality original MPEG-2 format, straight to the
hard disk. Furthermore, users can connect AV equipment, such as a camcorder,
DVD player, or game for audio/video capturing. In addition, the built-in MPEG-2

| Great card for media center PCs that only take low profile cards! A low profile adapter is included in the box. I'm using this in an HP Slimline in place of the modem in a PCI-E slot. I picked this card up after returning a Pinnacle USB tuner stick, which does NOT work with Windows Media Center on 64 bit Vista. The driver for is on the AverMedia website. I can't address how it would work with any other media app, but it works fine with Windows Media Center. Installation seemed to hang, but after a reboot, WMC saw the card right away. Analog cable is working well. I haven't tried ATSC or digital QAM yet. |

| this card came only with software, and although it ran fine on xp after two weeks it just died. I thought it was my video card as it shut my puter down. I ordered a new video card and went to my old puter. and of coarse put my tv card in the old puter. it was the tv card. |

| It is difficult to rate this since I only have one other tuner to base this on. I did have severe problems in the beginning with resolution in Windows Media 2005 version. There was severe sudden flickering, but was fixed once I chose a different screen resolution in Media Center settings. However the resolution from my Starchoice box is not very good. It is quite a bit worse than when the box is hooked up directly to my 42'' Plasma. All this being said, the card does what is says it does. Has anyone compared this capture card to other ones sold here? |

| This card did not perform for me as described. It can recieve and display HDTV and SDTV content over an antenna very well. However, once hooked up to my Comcast HD Digital Cable, the performance was severely decreased. SEVERE ghosting in any format (SD or HD) almost to the point it is unwatchable. I am using Vista Media Center with nvidia GTX260, dual core proc, and plenty of RAM. Avermedia customer service was no help. BOOOOOOOO to this card (my experience so far). |
