Sabrent TV-USB20 TV Tuner/Video Capture Box
The Sabrent USB2.0 TV Box is the newest TV receiving and video capturing device designed
for notebooks and PCs. It is an external TV/video receiving box that features a handsome design along with powerful performance features. It can turn your
computer into mobile TV station, as the USB 2.0 TV box allows you to enjoy your favorite TV programs any time
and anywhere.
This USB 2.0 TV capture box provides a video capture solution for notebook
PCs. It captures 740 x 480 (NTSC) resolutions, creating high quality
video that can be stored on a PC hard disk via USB 2.0/1.1. Users can watch
video on the PC, while also capturing video to the hard disk drive of their
notebook PC. It also captures stereo audio at 16bits, and at a 24KHz or 48KHz
sampling rate. With its A/V synchronization feature, this captures video and
audio at the same time. A professional "snap shot" function is also
provided, specially, in order to capture 704 x 480 still images from a video
source. With other user-friendly application programs, the captured bit stream
can be transferred very easily to standard formats, such as MPEG1, MPEG2 and
MPEG4 video, for editing and CD burning applications.
This USB 2.0 TV capture box also features a TV/Video Scheduled Recording Function.
It also offers users a simple MPEG video editing program that incorporates a
powerful encoding /decoding engine with a smart merge process for fast operation.
Users can then create home video and record that video, and also TV shows, onto
VCD using the USB 2.0 TV Tuner capture box.
Note: Vista drivers may be downloaded from the manufacturer's
site.

This card is what it is, a cheap tv tuner solution. Don't waste your time with the disk of drivers and software included. The included software and drivers blue screened my laptop numerous times and when finally got it to work, the coaxial cable input would not work properly and the remote would never work.
My suggestion is to download the Vista 32 bit driver and software avabilable here
http://www.sabrent.com/#section=Drivers&itemName=&itemID=0
And use the driver and software in this download, irregardless of using Vista or XP, it will work for both O/S and give you the use of the remote and coaxial cable input.

I found it easy to setup at the time. Remote didn't work however. I tested recording with it and it was TV quality.

This has worked well and reliably for me for some time on my XP. I recently upgraded to Vista on my desktop and unfortunately, even with the provided driver on the manufacturer's website, I'm having trouble getting it to work.
If you're looking for a device for your XP computer, I highly recommend this device. If you're going to be using the device with a Vista system, you might as well get an alternative.

This device does what it's supposed to do. But if you're the kind of person that don't read instructions, stay away from it. On the manufacturer's site, they ask you to take so many precautions, it's almost like they expect something to go wrong during setup.
Also, you'll sometimes get poor image quality but I found that toggling between inputs solves the problem.
All in all, a tricky device that'll get the job done with some patience and careful handling, but at this price, you have to expect a few hickups...

CONSUMER ALERT
This television receiver has only

Nation’s transition to digital broadcasting. Analog-only TVs should continue
to work as before with cable and satellite TV services, gaming consoles,

What Is USB 2.0?
USB 1.1 was great when it was introduced almost a decade ago. But
the newer USB 2.0 transfers data dramatically faster - up to 40 times
quicker. Plus, USB 2.0 provides additional bandwidth for multimedia and
storage applications, which are growing larger every year. Also to your
advantage is the fact that USB 2.0 is forward and backward compatible with
USB 1.1, which means that cables and connectors made for the original USB
configuration will also work perfectly in a USB 2.0 port, though some newer
devices are specifically designed for USB 2.0. It is always a good
idea to verify the version of USB supported by each device you want to use.
