Not perfect, but really good...

The picture on this webcam is really sharp and crisp. Face tracking isn't always entirely accurate. At times, it'll zoom in on just my eye or nose, then back out again. It was also once in a state where it wouldn't autofocus. I put my hand up to the lens, then removed it, and autofocus started working again. As far as frames-per-second and general features, this is about the best there is for a PC. I got this one after trying the Quickcam Pro V2 for Notebooks and the mounting clip snapped in two.The 9000 model is a lot more sturdy, albeit a lot bigger. Other than the size and design, the fetures and perfomance seems the exact same as the Pro V2 model.

I find that the avatars, and add-ons in the Logitech software don't work all that well. It's fun for about 5 minutes and eats up a lot of hard drive space. There's no driver available without the useless avatar, and 'video effect' features. The 'fun filters' do work. But who needs that stuff on a webcam?

Despite some of the downsides in the software, it's really good hardware. I've recommended this camera to my family and friends.

Setup and software installation were easy to do. Picture, video, and sound were outstanding. I enjoyed taking pictures and saving them. My daughter enjoyed making videos and sending it to her friends. It was worth the price for this quaity product.

I use this for Skype and so far so good. The autofocus is a little slow but nice to have.
