Whether you choose these preloaded navigators or the c320 or c310 with SD card, their intuitive touch screen operation and big displays make them easy to use.
StreetPilot c330 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps, including a hefty points of interest (POIs) database with motels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. Simply touch the sunlight-readable color screen to enter a destination, and the c330 takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. In addition, the c330 accepts custom points of interest (POIs) such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. Traveling abroad? The c330 comes with an SD card slot, making it convenient to add optional maps.
The portable c330 easily moves from vehicle to vehicle. Its suction cup windshield mount is a snap to install. The c330 also comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for out-of-car route planning.

Love its ease of use but find the overall product bulky and cumbersome. Nice bright screen. However wish it came with a regular plug or adapter so that I can charge it at home. My car charger no longer works. Was this review helpful?

I do not read maps well, and even if someone gives me verbal directions -- I still manage to get lost. That is why the Garmin is a life-saver for me. No more wasted gas or lost time. I now feel secure when I am driving in unfamiliar territory!!!! Was this review helpful?

It worked great for about a month and a half. Since then I have spend countless hours on the phone and computer trying to get it to work. The Garmin folks helped me getting work for a day or so; then it wouldn't work again. I am just hoping I can get my money back. Garmin is great, but stick with a new one. Was this review helpful?

I think this GPS was well worth the $100 I paid for it. I was able to get it up and running easily and now have come to rely upon it since I don't have a great sense of direction. In California windshield mounts are not allowed, but I affixed velcro to the base of the unit as well as my dashboard and it worked fine. I even cover the GPS unit with a hat when I'm shopping to hopefully conceal the item from would be thieves. Was this review helpful?

I switched to the British Lass voice and it works fine in America.

This is a great value for a basic unit. I bought this as a back-up GPS for traveling. It works well with a moderately larger form factor than the newer Nuvi units but once it is attached to the windshield, the depth doesn't matter. One word of caution, the screen cannot be read when wearing polarized sunglasses. This does not happen with my three other GPS units including newer Garmins and car nav system. I bought one of these for my parents for a gift this spring. They tend to like gadgets and this one they really seem to like. No sign that the thing is refurbished. It comes out of the box looking like new. Easy set-up and operation.
A few weeks later I bought a second one for myself. The wife has pretty much taken that over.

It is a good buy as a refurbished product. Have been using it for more than a month now (in different parts of the country). The map is dated - Garmin wants you to purchase the latest updates from their website. Will probably wait for 1-2 years to pay for an update (assuming that the unit still works at that time!). Sometimes it calculates a much longer route. The suction cup does not work very well. It pops out every now and then. Overall, good value for the price. Was this review helpful? < |
