Camera produces great quality pictures as long as you are shooting in the right mode. For the best pictures, manually pick the type of shot from the menu. Do not trust the camera in Best Shot mode. Other than that, the camera is a great buy. Compact and stylish. Might want to consider the warranty if you are rough with a camera (I am on my third one due to dropping and beach use). Before this camera, I owned an Olympus and was very happy with it. However, my camera was a 7.2 MP, and when I saw this one (for the same price I paid for my previous one) with 10 MP, I jumped for it right away (specially after researching and finding that this camera normally sells for more than what Buy.com asks). My brother owns the older version of this camera and now I'm about to call him and let him know that is still available for the low price I paid (he saw mine in action on our last family barbecue and decided that is time for him to upgrade too). The only down side I can think of, is getting the video recording feature on, it takes a little bit more steps than just a click-n-switch (if you like using this feature a lot, you should see if there is a better option for you). Nice. View screen is tough to impossible to see in bright sunlight. I do not think it charges when attached to my computer so you need to keep the charger handy. Was this review helpful?
