5 of 5 CoolMax Rock Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Vernon from Warner Robins, GA
Great looking PS, The only thing I did not like--There is no manual fan speed adjuster. It's automatic now. But overall, I am pleased. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Quiet power supply Monday, May 05, 2008 A Customer from Rochester, NY
This product delivers what is says. I am running this in a HTPC with a low power consumption CPU and I can barely here anything running. The Power supply also has an adjustment for the fan speed. On max speed you can here the fan but still fairly quiet.
Great supply.
No problems with DOA. This is the second coolmax I have purchased and have had no problems with either one. I have been running the other one in my main system for over a year and have had no issues. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Worthless at any price Sunday, March 30, 2008 rmsipe222 from Stillwater
I am second guessing my attempt to be frugal. I thought Coolmax was a reliable brand but when I received this PS DOA I had to wonder. I had that sinking feeling when I flipped the switch and the fan did not come on. I hope there is no damage to my new MOBO. My question is how can a PS be DOA to that extent right out of the box? Don't they test these things? In retrospect I am weighing the costs in terms of delays and possible damage to my MOBO. After all this hassle I hope Buy.com will get a new PS out to me ASAP. The 3 variable fan speed switch is a great feature. The fan is really quiet and it moves a lot of air around in the case keeping your computer cool. The power supply cable that plugs into your wall outlet was a bit short, but I just used my old cable and everything was fine. The look of the power supply is nice and the buy.com price was the best one I found. It comes with plenty of power hook ups. I have 2 hard drives, 1 cdrom, 1 cd burner, and a floppy drive powered off of it with no problem at all. So far it is a good power supply. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 quiet as a mouse Friday, March 03, 2006 A Customer from La Canada, CA
I bought this power supply in an effort to make my system more quiet. Wow, mission almost accomplished! The coolmax is as quiet as a mouse, but my cpu fan now sounds loud (I couldn't hear it when my old power supply was running). When I leave the cpu fan unplugged, the system runs super quietly, and I am fully satisfied with the overall noise level.
If you're looking for a super quiet power supply that looks good to, and is less expensive than most, this is the one for you! Was this review helpful?

This thing is amazing. You can't hear it at all on normal or low fan speed. Looks great too.
It is made in China so I don't know about longevity, but so far I love it.
Buy.com had the cheapest price and I had no problem with shipping.
Thanks Was this review helpful?
